Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Divinity

"Weaving divinity," Alfred began, pacing slowly in front of them, "is not just a technique. It is an act of will – a dangerous, intimate, and irreversible one. Each thread you draw from within you is tied to something deeper than your body; it is tied to your essence, your root.

'I guess we are starting from the basics again.' Nyxir thought as he listened to Alfred, who continued lecturing them.

"The first step to weaving is internalizing your sequence, the aspect you bear is a manifestation of your divinity, and you have to have a full understanding of it to control it fully."

"Each of you has a different aspect, which means your experience will be different and so will your weave. What you should get at now is sensing the divinity deep within you, it is not a simple thing that can be accomplished, that is why you must learn clarity." Alfred paused again to give the five of them time to process and possibly raise a question. But seeing no objection, he continued.

"The clearer your mind is, the sharper your senses will be and the easier it will be to sense the divinity hidden within you."

"You should all try finding your weave. The moment you sense your divinity, you will find your weave, and after which it remains internalizing your sequence. Get on with it, focus your mind and drift with the air." Alfred finished explaining and watched the student transition from listening to meditating.

Nyxir also closed his eyes and tried to stay focused; focusing his mind was one of the easiest things ever. As someone who spent all day creating various seals and equipment, he has long cultivated an absolute clarity state, and it wasn't hard for him to enter a state of tranquility this time as well.

He felt his mind adrift, and it seemed he was floating. After getting into this state, he tried to sense the strand of divinity lurking inside him. Having experienced this, it has become something extremely easy for him; he just needed a little bit more concentration since his present identity was not the revered venerated sealer. After trying multiple times, he sighed, he gradually visualized the divinity lurking in him, and suddenly froze.

What came into his sight was an endless darkness that expanded towards the horizon; there seemed to be no limit to its reach, covering the entire world in its darkness. The darkness looks like they were alive, shifting and moving. At times it billows furiously like it would devour the entire world, and at times it drifts quietly. Inside the endless thick darkness were a lot of tiny light spots of various colors and brightness; staring at them looked like a beautiful starry sky, and it evoked a subservience in one.

"What is this?" Nyxir gasped before snapping his eyes open.

He saw Alfred, who had sat down at some point observing everyone's actions and behavior, sometimes nodding, other times frowning. He looked at Nyxir, who seemed startled by something, and shook his head, slowly gesturing to him not to distract the rest.

'What did I just see? Is that my divinity, or am I seeing the dark world?' Nyxir entered into a deep thought.

'That can't be the dark world, but I don't think it is my divinity either.'

'The dark world is like an abyss, there is no light point anywhere, maybe except for the essence orb.'

Divinity is the manifestation of a person's authority; this authority can then be developed into a more powerful domain, and each individual has their own different and unique divinity because it is closely linked to their soul. That is, even if two people were to awaken the same aspects and talent, they will still have different divinity manifestations because divinity is linked to the soul, and that is why different people have different weaves and weaving methods. It is then interpreted as the manifestation of a person's soul.

Nyxir suppressed his thoughts and concentrated on the others who were still searching their depths, trying to sense their divinity. Ivarin's face was a giant frown, like he was confused, and Nyxir giggled inwardly. Of all other aspects, a sealer's aspect is like a web of confusion, leaping from one confused state to another because of the complexity of their aspect. Even with the support of his entire clan, he still had trouble unraveling his divinity in his previous life.

As for Jack and Larry, they seem to be having an easier time focusing, and one could assume they are already close to their goal. Lastly, Caelia sat motionlessly with the same stoic expression on her face, you couldn't even begin guessing her situation because she has always been like that.

Nyxir's stare lingered on Caelia for even longer. He wondered if she had sensed her divinity even before the previous lesson, but just decided to go along with the formality.

_She doesn't seem to be doing anything, or am I unable to read into her"_

Nyxir wondered, he was a freak whose second love was observing people from a distance, and he could virtually read into them easily. It became something he was used to that he also started unconsciously after reincarnating, and he had always been able to somehow glimpse a person's thoughts. Caelia was the first person that topple his ace. He even wondered if she had a mind, like she was even thinking?

_Oh crap!_

He got carried away in his thoughts that he did not notice Caelia was staring right back at him, in the eyes! He hurriedly turned his head to the front. He could not forget the feeling he had when he looked her in the eyes.

He wasn't a timid person, although introverted in his previous life due to his love for seals that made him a shut-in, he was still a venerated array grand master, and he had to meet with several people even when he didn't feel like it sometimes. But his reincarnation is like a big secret he felt he should keep to himself, and he has been trying to avoid getting too close to high sequencers in case they were able to somehow see through him. Unfortunately, the kind of feeling he got the few times he stared at Caelia in the eyes made him unconsciously cautious of looking into her eyes, which is why he has been avoiding making eye contact ever since.

_I thought our eyes met. Phew, nothing happened_ Nyxir heaved a relieved sigh.

_Maybe our eyes didn't meet. That is for the best. I need to avoid her as much as possible, especially since we are in the same group._

After some time, Ivarin, being the last person, finally opened his eyes. He looked at everyone else, seeing a glimmer of a smile on their faces, and he shook his head dejectedly.

"You should not feel downcast for not being able to sense your divinity on your first attempt, it could be very complex for some people, while for some people, it could be hazy or elusive, even cunning. It is for you to determine what your case may be and keep going until you get it." Alfred walked to the front and explained after seeing that every person had stopped their practice.

"That will be your first task, as for those of you who have already sensed and determined your divinity, you should already know your weave, you can try and start making them. There are several basic manuals on what to take note of when weaving in the guild, and you can seek the help of your mates or instructors."

"You can continue on your training or choose to participate in any of the club that suits you. But I don't advise my students to laze around. You are to return here by afternoon." Alfred concluded and left the hall.

The hall remained silent even after Alfred was gone, even Ivarin, who was the most talkative, strangely remained quiet, and none of the other boys disturbed him as they were rooted in their thoughts as well.

Jack first left, followed by Larry and Ivarin, all the while, Nyxir was pondering his earlier encounter. He didn't want to alert anyone previously and had reigned in his emotions, and since no one seemed to pay him any attention, he returned to his thoughts.

After making several conjectures and not getting answers, he looked up and discovered he was the only one left in the hall.

"I should gather more information on this place," he sighed, stood up, and walked towards the door.

"Nyxir"

Just as he was about to get to the door, a hesitant voice called his name
