Chapter 155 – You're Seriously Insane
Uchiha Dali stood with arms folded, calm and composed, waiting for the other man to approach.
Once Han stepped up to him, he spoke. "To be recognized even by a Tailed Beast… it seems you do have some skill."
"But don't think for a second that I'm bowing my head to you. I only want to prove just how laughable your ideals really are."
It was essentially the same stance that Rōshi had taken.
Only, Han's pride was clearly even stronger.
So his words were more direct—more aggressive.
Still, no matter how he phrased it, the point remained: he had conceded.
Not only that, he had agreed to return to Konoha with Uchiha Dali.
"Now tell me about the Akatsuki."
Han continued.
But Uchiha Dali simply waved a finger. "Seems like I need to correct a little issue with your tone."
"First of all, you can say that we're speaking as equals—so there's no need for a superior tone."
"But this condescending arrogance of yours? I suggest you reel it in. Otherwise, I'll have to use a language we both understand to communicate."
His words made Han's eyes narrow sharply.
It was an unmistakable threat.
But a wise man doesn't fight battles he can't win.
So he lowered his head.
"Fine. I'll admit my tone was out of line."
"Can we talk now?"
"Didn't the Four-Tails already tell you?" Uchiha Dali looked over at Rōshi.
The voice of the Four-Tails echoed from within Rōshi immediately. "What I told him is everything I know. I've got nothing more."
"What I told you is all there is."
Uchiha Dali shook his head. "Forget it. If we want answers, we'll figure it out ourselves. For now, I'm taking you somewhere."
"Back to Konoha?" Rōshi asked.
Uchiha Dali didn't reply. Instead, he activated an advanced Flying Thunder God Technique.
In the blink of an eye, the three of them vanished—and reappeared at a seaside location.
On either side and ahead of them stretched golden beaches, and beyond that, the endless expanse of ocean.
"Why bring us here?" Rōshi asked in confusion.
"I've seen the sea before. Nothing special about it. Not nearly as beautiful as the hills and mountains of our Land of Earth," Han added.
His tone was thick with pride for his homeland.
Uchiha Dali didn't explain. He merely chuckled. "This is the eastern border of the Land of Fire."
Hearing that, the two of them grew curious and turned toward him.
Uchiha Dali continued, "From here, if you head straight out to sea, you'll reach the Land of Water."
They had at least some basic knowledge of Fire Country's geography.
But they had never been to this particular region.
After all, this was someone else's territory—and they were from the Land of Earth.
Now, hearing Uchiha Dali say that, the two men realized something unusual was going on.
"I heard the Land of Water's already been conquered by you. So what—are you trying to flaunt your military might in front of me?" Han asked scornfully.
Uchiha Dali ignored the provocation and went on. "The Fourth Mizukage, Yagura—who's also the Daimyō of the Land of Water—has formally requested my help."
"He wants me to build a land route between the Land of Fire and the Land of Water. That way, the two nations can be linked as one."
"In the future, whether for economic development or cultural exchange, everything will be much more convenient."
After hearing this, Han's expression grew even more disdainful.
Rōshi also frowned.
"You do realize this is the ocean, right?" Han mocked. "Or are you telling me that the Fourth Mizukage of the Hidden Mist doesn't even have that much common sense? And he actually made that kind of request?"
"So what are you going to do next? Move a few mountains over? That won't even come close."
He glanced at the vast sea stretching to the horizon.
Even Rōshi began to think this whole idea was absurd.
Filling in the sea to build land—between two nations separated by hundreds of kilometers?
He wouldn't even dare to dream of such a thing.
"Things that go beyond common human understanding are indeed hard to grasp," Uchiha Dali said with a soft smile.
If these two knew that he had, singlehandedly, transformed the entire Land of Wind desert into a vibrant, thriving primeval forest…
They probably wouldn't be reacting like this.
"So what exactly do you plan to do?" Rōshi asked, curiosity piqued.
"Just this," Uchiha Dali said, clapping his hands together.
In an instant, the ground began to tremble. At the same time, the calm sea in front of them suddenly turned choppy and violent.
"What's going on?" The two of them both flinched.
The very next second, they saw a massive stretch of land rise from beneath the sea. In a matter of moments, vast tracts of solid ground extended out from the coast, stretching farther and farther into the ocean.
It was a road—more than a hundred meters wide—stretching all the way to the horizon.
"Earth Release jutsu?!" Rōshi and Han were dumbfounded.
As shinobi from Iwagakure in the Land of Earth, they specialized in Earth Release. Of course they recognized it.
But a jutsu on this scale? They had never even heard of such a thing.
With just a single technique, he had created real land.
And not just anywhere—but in the middle of the ocean.
It was a miracle.
Now they finally understood why Uchiha Dali had accepted what seemed like an impossible request from the Fourth Mizukage.
"You're not actually thinking of using Earth Release to carve out an overland route from the Land of Fire to the Land of Water, are you?" Han asked, unsure whether to believe his own guess.
At that moment, Dali walked forward with total composure, as if confirming exactly that.
And sure enough, he nodded. "That's right."
"You're seriously insane!" Han felt like his brain was about to melt.
Sure, a shinobi capable of unleashing Earth Release on such a vast scale was already astonishing.
His chakra reserves were practically on par with a Tailed Beast.
But so what? This was the ocean!
Even if you could shape a thousand meters of land in one go—so what?
The distance between the Land of Fire and the Land of Water spanned hundreds of kilometers. That kind of range was almost laughably small in comparison.
More importantly, even if Uchiha Dali could pull off one jutsu on that scale… could he do it twice? Three times?
"At best, you could pull it off five times," Han said flatly.
"Just don't go dying here from overwork."
As soon as those words left his mouth, he, Rōshi, and Uchiha Dali vanished together.
