Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Zoro, You Know… Tashigi Is Actually Kuina’s Long-Lost Younger Sister

"Boom—!"

An enraged Smoker slammed his fist into the ground, leaving a deep crater. In the end, he had still failed to rescue Tashigi, letting that damn bastard escape.

What infuriated him the most was that he still didn't even know what kind of Devil Fruit ability his opponent had used.

Staring at the photo of Nami in his hand, Smoker clenched his teeth. He didn't fully believe what Su Xiaoqi had said, but…

"Nami, Sakata Gintoki, and the Yorozuya Pirate Crew... If any of that turns out to be true, I will make them pay."

Elsewhere, when Su Xiaoqi returned with an unconscious Tashigi slung over his shoulder, everyone was stunned—none more so than the lively duo of Sanji and Sakata Gintoki, who looked furious.

Sakata Gintoki roared, "You evil Saiyan! What did you do to the adorable Tashigi-chan?! Did you do this to her first, and that afterward?!"

Right behind him, Sanji echoed indignantly, "How could you do this to the lovely Miss Bamboo? We must represent all women and bring you to justice!"

"You two, shut up already!"

Bam! Bam! Nami sent the two fools flying with two punches, then turned to Su Xiaoqi and asked, "Alright, spill it. What are you planning now, bringing her here?"

Every time Su Xiaoqi looked at Nami lately, he had to fight the urge to laugh. He knew Smoker wouldn't believe everything he said just like that—but so what? That was only the beginning. The real show was yet to come.

Su Xiaoqi placed Tashigi in front of Zoro and said, "Zoro, doesn't she look a lot like your childhood friend, Kuina?"

"I can say with absolute certainty—Tashigi is Kuina's long-lost younger sister. I brought her here so you can fulfill your responsibility to take care of her from now on."

Zoro's eyes widened at this. Deep down, he didn't want to believe such nonsense. But with the kinds of crazy things he'd seen lately—like traveling between worlds—maybe this wasn't so impossible after all.

Zhu Zhuqing, seeing her boyfriend spouting such nonsense with a straight face, immediately knew he was plotting something again.

As for the rest of the Straw Hats who hadn't seen One Piece, they were a bit more inclined to believe Su Xiaoqi's claim. But those from the chat group who had seen it? They didn't buy it for a second.

Unless Su Xiaoqi had watched a completely different One Piece than they did—but how likely was that?

Knowing words alone wouldn't convince them, Su Xiaoqi looked to Lu Linglong and Nami and explained, "The anime version of One Piece you're watching is still ongoing. But where I'm from, the manga has already finished—and this detail was only revealed close to the end."

"Otherwise, do you think it's just a coincidence for two people to look exactly alike and both love swordsmanship?"

"There's only one truth—they're twin sisters."¹

Su Xiaoqi's confident and logical delivery even managed to fool Nami and Lu Linglong a bit. They wanted to believe he was lying, but… he did make some sense.

At that moment, Tashigi regained consciousness—only for Su Xiaoqi to immediately knock her out again with a swift chop to the neck.

Everyone winced. This guy really had zero sense of chivalry.

Su Xiaoqi turned to Zoro and explained, "She can't hear any of this for now. If she starts digging for the truth at this stage, it'd be the same as walking to her death."

"I've said enough. The rest is up to you—do you want to take her along and search for the truth?"

"For both your sake... and Kuina's."

That last line struck a chord with Zoro. After a moment of silence, he turned to Luffy and asked, "Luffy, I want to bring her with us. Is that okay?"

Luffy smiled. "Of course it is."

"Nice."

Su Xiaoqi grinned inwardly and turned to Zoro, "But just a heads-up—I made an enemy of that Smoke Guy when I captured her. He'll definitely try to get her back."

"With his current strength, he won't be able to protect Tashigi. And now that we're interfering, the original timeline could shift drastically. If you don't want something bad to happen to her, you'll have to be ready to protect her with your life."

Zoro nodded solemnly. "I won't let the same tragedy happen again. But... how am I supposed to explain this to her?"

Su Xiaoqi smirked, "That's easy. With how clueless she is, just say whatever comes to mind. If that doesn't work, seduce her—after all, you like Kuina, and she's basically the same."

Zoro's face instantly turned red. "Don't spout nonsense! Kuina and I were completely innocent!"

Su Xiaoqi patted him on the shoulder and laughed, "Come on, man—we're all guys here. I get it."

Sanji leaned toward Sakata Gintoki and whispered, "White-hair, what do you think about all this?"

Sakata Gintoki thought for a second, then replied, "Knowing Silver-san, I'd say he's 90% full of crap… but I've got no proof. Either way, another girl on your ship isn't a bad thing, right?"

Sanji nodded. "True, though it does make things easier for that moss-head."

Now that the Tashigi situation was settled, Su Xiaoqi turned to the group. "From here, I won't be traveling with you guys. I'm heading off with Zhuqing and Vivi for a while. If anything comes up, message me in the chat."

"Huh?"

Vivi was the first to react, surprised. She hadn't expected Su Xiaoqi to single her out. Could it be... he had feelings for her?

Nami, however, was not pleased. She stormed up to Su Xiaoqi and demanded, "Why are we splitting up? What if we run into Crocodile? Who's going to protect me?"

Su Xiaoqi rolled his eyes. "Do you still need someone to protect you? With your Railgun and Water-Style jutsu, you could beat Crocodile into the dirt."

"Besides, if I stay here, how are Luffy and the others supposed to level up? You want me to do everything myself?"

"Su Xiaoqi's right!" Luffy suddenly shouted, his tone unusually serious. "We can't rely on him for everything. I'm going to punch Crocodile into the sky!"

Zoro nodded. "I want to see how much stronger I've gotten from training these past few days. Mr. 1 is mine."

Sanji looked over at Zhu Zhuqing and warned, "Zhuqing, you'd better keep a close eye on him—don't let him make a move on Vivi-chan."

"Um…" Usopp glanced at Su Xiaoqi and asked timidly, "Can Kaya and I go with you guys?"

Su Xiaoqi looked at Usopp and spoke earnestly, "Usopp, you're a man who's going to become a brave warrior of the sea. I believe you can protect Kaya."

"I got it." Usopp nodded, determination in his eyes.

Chopper leapt onto Su Xiaoqi's shoulder. "I want to go play with you! Can I?"

Su Xiaoqi turned to Kaya. "Kaya, will you be alright on your own?"

Kaya nodded. "Chopper's already taught me a lot. Let's treat this as training."

Su Xiaoqi smiled and turned to everyone. "Let's meet again in the royal capital."

Zhu Zhuqing flew into the sky using the flight skill she had gained from the ten-thousand-year soul bone she'd absorbed earlier.

Her soul power had already reached Level 50. Just one more soul ring and she would become the youngest Soul King in the history of Douluo Dalu.

After saying a few words to her little yellow duck, Vivi put on her bamboo-copter and flew up. "See you all soon!"

With Chopper in his arms, Su Xiaoqi flew into the sky, turned to Nami, and smiled. "Nami, you're so cute today. Take care of yourself."

Nami shouted back at him, "I'm not happy even if you compliment me now, you traitorous jerk!"

Sakata Gintoki stroked his chin, watching Su Xiaoqi fly away. "Silver-san feels like something's off... Is this guy really being kind for no reason? Too suspicious."

Lu Linglong looked thoughtfully at Nami. She had a gut feeling something bad was about to happen to her.

After all, the "grudge" between Su Xiaoqi and Nami was now infamous throughout the chat group. There was no way Su Xiaoqi didn't have something up his sleeve.
