After Old Master King and Old Madam King left the Eve Mansion, the atmosphere in the place was ambiguous.
Ella did not know what to make out of it. The reaction of the Old couple towards her marriage declaration did not seem much favorable but it did not feel as unfavorable either.
They did not say much. Instead they just looked at Adrian, as if they were looking for confirmation.
But Adrian's unflinching face proved that Ella's words were nothing but the truth.
And after that, the old couple simply exchanged a glance before they left.
'Maybe they would give me a blank cheque to leave their grandson the next time we meet…' Ella thought, stroking her chin.
When the silence in the living room stretched further, Ella turned her head.
Adrian was still in his previous spot, but his expressions seemed to be covered in shadows.
One couldn't tell what he was thinking.
