Liam's POV
I held my grandma's warm hands as I walked to where everybody was slowly assembling. I could feel my grandpa's hard glare on my back for stealing his wife from him.
It was ridiculous how such a loving couple had children whose love life was a disaster. All of the women in the family had troubles in their marriage; it was only Uncle Olive who managed to escape the curse.
My heart rate escalated thinking about how I might continue the curse, my marriage was contractual, love shouldn't come with terms and conditions.
The first day I met Madeline at my place, it was when I was with some other woman, and we had begun our life in the most twisted way possible.
I didn't want to continue the curse, but I had a feeling that I would. Though I erased my father's surname, I was still his blood, and blood ran thicker than water.
Even today, I couldn't spend much time with Madeline. If only our relationship were normal, then I wouldn't have to be afraid of the press catching us.
