As soon as Kevin saw those two giant eyes in the sky, he lost consciousness out of fear. Meanwhile, Brandon raised his fist to smash Kevin's face. But at that very moment, a white light began flickering from Kevin's chest once again.
Brandon noticed it too, but he dismissed it, thinking it was just a phone's flashlight. He didn't stop his punch. However, before his fist could land, the white light suddenly erupted from Kevin's chest and shot straight toward Brandon.
The moment Brandon saw something unusual, panic crept over him. Everyone else also witnessed it. And before anyone could react, the white light struck Brandon.
The instant it touched him, his body began to burn. He screamed in agony as his flesh melted away. Seeing this horrifying sight, Logan and his men were petrified.
Everyone started shouting, "What the hell is this?! What kind of weapon does he have?!" "Whatever it is, it killed Brandon!" "What should we do now?!"
All eyes were on Logan. They expected him to decide the next move. But Logan himself was terrified. He instinctively took a few steps back, his heartbeat nearly stopping at the sight of Brandon's gruesome death. When his men noticed Logan preparing to flee, panic spread among them, and they tried to run as well.
However, they reacted too late.
The white light changed direction and surged toward them, colliding with each of them one by one. Their screams echoed through the deserted street as their bodies burned into ashes. Not a single bone remained; they were reduced to dust.
Only Logan managed to escape.
After wiping out everyone, the white light returned to Kevin's chest.
A while later, Kevin regained consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes and looked around. But to his surprise, there was no one in sight. Confused, he muttered to himself, "Did they run away? But… they were about to kill me… Then how…?"
After a pause, he convinced himself, "Maybe they were just trying to scare me off."
Shrugging off his confusion, he dusted off his clothes, sighed deeply, and prepared to leave.
But then, his eyes caught something on the ground. His gaze lit up, and a broad smile spread across his face. It was a ring box.
Excited, he ran toward it, quickly picking it up. His fingers trembled as he opened the box, anxious to see if the ring was still inside. When he saw the ring, he exhaled in relief and clutched it close to his chest.
But a thought lingered in his mind. "If they only wanted to scare me away… then why did they leave the ring box behind? Did they drop it by accident?"
Laughing to himself, he mocked, "Some gangsters they are!"
Without wasting another second, Kevin left the place, not willing to take any risks. If they returned, he didn't want to be there. He ran until he finally found a taxi.
Meanwhile…
Two stunningly beautiful girls stood near an empty road. Passersby couldn't help but steal glances at them. One of the girls, clearly irritated, huffed, "We've been standing here forever, waiting for them! And they still haven't arrived! Neither Kevin nor Karishma! We look like fools standing here like this. Our image is ruined!"
The other girl chuckled and replied, "The ones who arrive first aren't considered fools. They're just punctual. Besides, have you seen how much it rained today? The traffic must be insane. Don't be mad, Salena. They'll be here soon."
Salena pouted. "Ugh! Isabella, you always defend them! If this keeps up, they'll start walking all over you one day!"
Isabella laughed. "That's a problem for the future. But if you keep frowning like that, you'll get pimples."
These two were none other than Kevin's cousin sisters, Salena and Isabella. They had been waiting for Kevin and Karishma for quite some time.
The moment Salena heard the word "pimples," she panicked and immediately checked her reflection on her phone. The mere thought of pimples terrified her. "Oh no! If I get pimples, I'll have to wear a mask!"
Isabella rolled her eyes, ignoring Salena's antics. Just then, her gaze shifted to a familiar figure approaching them. A smile bloomed on her face. "Look, he's here!"
Salena, still obsessed with her face, thought Isabella meant a pimple had appeared. Her mind spiraled into chaos. "No! No pimples! My beautiful face will be ruined! Oh God, please don't punish me like this!"
After frantically checking her face multiple times and finding nothing, she finally calmed down. But now, she was glaring at Isabella.
Isabella, seeing her furious expression, sighed internally. "Is she really this dumb, or is she just acting for attention?"
Not wanting to argue, Isabella pointed behind her. "Turn around. Kevin is coming, not your pimple."
Salena turned and saw Kevin walking toward them. She chuckled at her own foolishness and grinned. "Oh! So our little brother has finally arrived. He's no less annoying than a pimple himself."
Hearing this, Isabella burst into laughter.
By then, Kevin had reached them. Panting slightly, he said, "Sorry, guys. I got delayed. There was a small… problem on the way."
Before he could say more, Salena cut him off. "Yeah, yeah! You always have 'problems,' which is why you're always late!"
Kevin scratched his head and chuckled awkwardly.
But Isabella's eyes narrowed as she noticed something—Kevin's hand was injured, with blood seeping from a fresh wound. Alarmed, she grabbed his hand. "Brother! What happened to your hand?!"
Hearing the word "injury," Salena also looked at his hand and gasped. "Oh my God!"
Kevin, seeing them panic, quickly made up a lie. "Uh… I slipped while getting off the train. That's how I got hurt."
Salena instantly got mad. "And who told you to take the train?! Couldn't you just take a taxi today?!"
She was about to continue scolding him, but Isabella intervened. She took out a handkerchief from her bag and gently wrapped it around Kevin's wound. "At least make your lies believable. But… it's good that it's not serious."
Kevin smiled, touched by her care. "She always sees through my lies in an instant… Maybe this is what a true sibling bond is."
Just as Isabella finished tending to his wound, a sleek black car pulled up beside them.
Seeing the car, all three of them smiled knowingly.
The driver's door opened, and out stepped a stunning girl with long, slender legs, wearing a yellow one-piece dress that made her look both elegant and attractive. She ran toward Isabella and hugged her tightly. "How's my darling Isabella?!"
Isabella giggled. "I'm fine, my dear Hazel!"
Hearing their dramatic exchange, everyone chuckled. Salena then asked, "You're here, but where's Karishma?"
The mention of Karishma's name immediately caught Kevin's attention. He straightened up, eagerly waiting for the answer.
Hazel smirked and rolled her eyes. "Where else would she be? Working! That girl is married to her job!"
Just then, the car door opened again—and out stepped a breathtaking beauty.
And she was none other than… Karishma.
The moment Kevin laid eyes on her, his heart started racing like a wild stallion.
If hearts had legs… his would've already reached Tokyo by now.
Karishma, responding to Hazel's comment, smirked and said, "Oh!!! Oh!! Look who's talking! The one who doesn't even take her plate to the kitchen after eating is lecturing me now!"
Hearing this, everyone burst into laughter.
After a bit of fun and teasing, Isabella turned to Karishma and said, "It's already midnight! Where are we going now?"
At this, everyone turned to Karishma, waiting for her answer. She smiled and said, "What's there to worry about?"
Saying this, she looked at Salena, who immediately understood her cue. Salena then grinned and said, "When we came here, our initial plan was to go to a nightclub, but suddenly, we changed our minds!"
After saying this, Salena gestured for everyone to follow her and walked toward her car's trunk. Everyone, except Karishma, followed her.
Excited, Salena opened the trunk and said, "This is our plan for the night!"
The moment everyone saw what was inside, their eyes lit up—except for Kevin.
