Chapter 57 - LISA'S GRANDMOTHER

"Tell me, my child, how do you feel?" Mrs Alina asked Lisa the moment she stepped out of the confession area and back to where she had been waiting patiently.

"I don't know but he says I should be baptized." Lisa responded.

"Wait, you've never been baptized before?" Mrs Alina asked her, a shock in her eyes.

"No. While growing up, it would be safe to assume that church was not the first thing on my father's mind. He had other stuff keeping him busy." She responded.

"Oh, you poor thing. And your mother?" She asked Lisa.

"I didn't really know her well. Just a few moments before I had to live with my father. She actually died." Lisa said, she felt a rather cold chill across her spine as she came to sit down beside the woman.
