Mia quickly reached into her pouch, her hands moving on instinct.
"Don't move," she said firmly, pulling out a small vial filled with pale blue liquid. The potion shimmered faintly, warm to the touch.
Kai raised an eyebrow weakly. "…You still have healing potions?" "Of course I do," Mia snapped, then softened. "Drink it. Slowly."
She helped him tilt the vial to his lips. The moment the liquid touched his tongue, Kai winced as warmth spread through his body.
"…Ah—" He clenched his teeth as the potion took effect.
The deep gashes across his side began to close, flesh knitting together inch by inch.
The bleeding stopped, and the worst of the pain faded—but the exhaustion remained. His breathing steadied, yet his legs still felt heavy.
"…It worked," Mia said quietly, relief washing over her face. "But it's not enough to fully heal you."
Kai exhaled slowly. "…Yeah. I can feel it. The injuries are sealed… but my body's still wrecked."
