Chapter 71 - chapter 71

"With the new characteristics of the Transfiguration Spell, plus my own ability—continuous spellcasting," Dylan thought. "As long as I don't face a professor, I'm not completely powerless!"

After contemplating for a moment, Dylan decided to sneak into the Forbidden Forest that night.

"But my concealment spell isn't perfect yet. If I run into a magic master, I'll most likely be discovered."

He wondered if he should borrow Harry's Invisibility Cloak. However, he didn't want Harry to know he was sneaking into the forest. If Harry found out, he'd probably beg to come along.

Dylan glanced at his wizard robe.

"I might as well try my beautification function. If I can turn my robe into an invisibility cloak, I won't have to bother Harry anymore."

Thinking of this, he took out a spare wizard robe.

"If I just make the robe transparent, then I'll be wearing the emperor's new clothes. That won't work."

He realized the robe needed an effect that made the wearer invisible. With the decision made, a system prompt popped up:

[Message]: According to your idea, do you want to spend 100 Galleons to beautify your wizard robe?

Dylan confirmed immediately.

After deducting 100 Galleons, the robe in his hands began fading in color until it became completely transparent. Excited, he stood up from his bed and put it on.

But as soon as he did, disappointment struck—he could still see himself in the mirror. While the robe was invisible, his body remained visible.

"Is it really not possible?" Dylan sighed.

Harry's Invisibility Cloak was one of the Deathly Hallows, possessing ancient magic that made it incredibly powerful. Ordinary invisibility cloaks, usually woven from the hair of invisible beasts, were time-limited and far less effective.

"Even a standard invisibility cloak costs dozens or even hundreds of Galleons. Trying to create something comparable to the Deathly Hallows with just 100 Galleons was wishful thinking."

As he prepared to revert the robe to its original state, another system prompt appeared:

[Message]: The cross-dressing area can provide you with a variety of effects. For advanced beautification, please pay more Galleons!

Dylan was stunned, then delighted.

"Wait, I can pay to upgrade it?"

This wasn't an achievement system—it was a pay-to-win system!

Without hesitation, he refined his beautification settings and submitted another request.

[Message]: According to your idea, do you want to spend 10,000 Galleons to beautify your wizard robe?

"Ten thousand Galleons?" Dylan wasn't discouraged by the number. Instead, he was intrigued.

"I didn't expect the beautification to be this special."

He confirmed the purchase. However, instead of instantly upgrading, another prompt appeared:

[Message]: Please note that advanced features cannot be saved permanently. Do you want to continue?

Dylan's excitement faltered.

"Wait, I just spent 10,000 Galleons, and the invisibility effect won't last permanently?"

He knew Harry's cloak was valuable, but other powerful invisibility cloaks existed. Alchemy masters could craft advanced versions that rivaled it.

Yet, this system was charging him a fortune for a temporary effect? What if it only lasted a day? That would make him a complete fool.

Dylan hesitated before sighing.

"Fine, fine. Money is meant to be spent. If I lose it, I can just earn it again."

After all, he wasn't earning the money himself—his parents were. He'd just write them a letter, asking them to send more.

With that thought, he confirmed the upgrade. Another 10,000 Galleons vanished from his balance.

Despite the large sum, Dylan wasn't too distressed.

At the same time, he eagerly checked his appearance.

His body had completely merged with the surrounding environment.

He raised his hand and waved it in front of his face. He could feel the movement, but his hand was invisible.

Dylan paced excitedly around the dormitory. His reflection had disappeared from the mirror.

He examined himself closely but couldn't find any flaws.

"As long as I keep my robe on, I have perfect invisibility!"

Did he just spend 10,000 Galleons to create another Deathly Hallow?

Totally worth it!

Initially, Dylan had worried that the effect might not be as good as Harry's cloak. But now, he realized it was on par—or possibly even better!

"I just wonder how long it will last."

He checked the system panel.

——————

[Invisible Wizard Robe]: A beautified wizard robe that grants full invisibility.

[Note]: The invisibility effect will expire after 100 hours.

——————

"Only 100 hours?"

That wasn't too bad, but it wasn't great either.

"Forget it. Just think of it as a Deathly Hallows trial card. Four days isn't short. At least it's not just one day."

Dylan tried to comfort himself.

Spending 10,000 Galleons for a temporary invisibility cloak was painful, but at least it worked.

"Still, I should research how to craft a real invisibility cloak."

With that, he planned to visit the library the next day.
