Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Queen Of Spirits and Hero System

After leaving the Heavenly Palace, Origin traveled toward the Dwelling of Spirits. This realm was situated in a different space connected to the Cardinal World; it existed within a folded dimension, a vast expanse of space entirely saturated with the surging flow of elemental energy. As he approached the entrance, Origin paused for a moment, his gaze lingering on the shimmering veil that separated this sacred ground from the void.

"This is certainly different from what I remember from the Light Novel," Origin muttered to himself, his voice muffled by the hum of pure elemental magicules in the air. He quickly reminded himself that he was standing in the distant past—thousands of years before the events of the canon story. In this era, the Dwelling of Spirits was at its absolute peak; vibrant, untouched, and overflowing with pure, high-density magicules that felt almost liquid in their richness. He could even feel the presence of many Elementals at the level of Awakened Demon Lords and Arch-Demons wandering the outskirts of the realm.

The moment he stepped across the threshold, a massive wave of pressure washed over him. It wasn't a hostile aura intended to harm, but rather a mechanism to test him and sense his nature. However, the sheer density of the environment was enough to make any lesser being's heart stop if it had been filled with hostile intention. Origin's senses flared, his internal systems immediately measuring the magicules permeating the air. The concentration was staggering. Deep within the core of the palace, he could feel a presence that acted as the anchor for the entire dimension.

She's strong, Origin thought, his eyes narrowing slightly as he processed the data. So this is the true Queen of Spirits.

By his estimation, her base magicule count was comfortably on the same level as Guy and Feldway. But Origin knew better than most that magicules weren't the only factor in a battle between top-tier existences. As the Queen of Spirits, Ramiris possessed a unique authority that only she—and perhaps Sir Veldanava—held: she could borrow the power of the Great Holy Spirits and use them after receiving their permission.

As he walked, Origin's mind turned to the information he recalled about them. The Great Holy Spirits were the fundamental building blocks of the Tensura universe. They were the eight pillars of existence—Light, Darkness, Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, Sky, and Time—serving as the source of all magic and elemental spirits. While Light and Darkness formed the foundational dualistic concepts, it was the Great Holy Spirit of Time that held the authority to manage all of time in existence.

These egoless entities were not "beings" in the traditional sense; they were living embodiments of fundamental concepts. Sir Veldanava had utilized their essence to craft multiple latitudes of dimensions and universes, each governed by its own set of unique physics and laws. The Primordial Angels, the first of Veldanava's servants, had been born and created directly from the Great Holy Spirit of Light. In a stroke of cosmic irony, the Great Holy Spirit of Darkness had reacted to their creation, birthing the Primordial Demons from the shadows cast by that very same light.

Knowing that these Great Holy Spirits were the direct handiwork of the "All-In-One" made them extraordinary beyond measure. While Veldanava could command them by virtue of his status as the Avatar of the All-In-One, Ramiris was the only other being who shared such a profound connection. Created by the spirits themselves to act as their collective will, she held the divine right to be the Administrator of the Stars, alongside Guy, who served as the Mediator of the Cardinal World.

As he walked deeper into the shimmering palace, passing through corridors made of solidified light and swirling mists, a strange thought occurred to him. If the True Dragons are truly God's greatest creation, the pillars of all creation, how is it that individuals like Guy, Rudra, Feldway and even Milim can defeat them let's exclude Rimuru he is an anomaly. He recalled a fascinating theory from his past life—the idea that the True Dragons currently existing in the world were merely "Avatars" of their True Selves. Perhaps the original beings were so incomprehensibly powerful that they would have collapsed the lower dimensions just by existing. To interact with the world, they might have created limited versions of themselves, projecting their consciousness into these avatars just to experience emotions, joy, and the thrill of life alongside Veldanava's other creations. It was possible the True Dragons themselves didn't even know they were avatars. It was the only logical explanation for why the "Greatest Creations" of the All-In-One could ever be bested by mortals, demons, or even specialized humans.

Tensura's cosmology is getting much deeper than I originally thought, Origin mused with a small, intrigued smile. The idea of True Forms for the Dragons makes this entire journey much more interesting. It means there are depths to this world that even the novels didn't fully explore.

He eventually reached the central hall, a chamber that felt as large as an extended space. In the center, a tall, graceful figure sat upon a throne of pure light. This was Ramiris in her adult form, a being of radiant beauty and absolute authority. She was a far cry from the tiny pixie she would one day become. She looked down at him, her eyes widening in genuine surprise.

"Usually, I don't get visitors to my dimension," Ramiris said. Her voice was melodic and gentle, yet it carried an underlying resonance that vibrated through the very soul. She looked at Origin carefully, her eyes glowing as she sensed the anomaly of his existence. "You feel like a human... but at the same time, you aren't human at all. Who are you, or what are you exactly?"

Origin stopped a few paces from the throne and gave a respectful but composed nod. "My name is Origin. I am a worker at the Heavenly Palace, serving alongside Sir Veldanava."

Ramiris tilted her head, her curiosity clearly piqued. "Origin, huh? I've heard Veldanava mention a new face in the palace. So you're the one he's been talking about. I am Ramiris, the Queen of Spirits."

With the formal introductions out of the way, Origin didn't see the need to waste any more time on pleasantries. "The reason I've come here today is on behalf of Sir Veldanava. He is initiating a new project to bring balance to the world's growth, and he specifically requested your assistance. He wants to meet with you at the Heavenly Palace as soon as possible."

Ramiris stood up from her throne, her small and large iridescent wings fluttering slightly as she processed the request. The gentle atmosphere of the room shifted, charged by her sudden movement. "Veldanava wants me? And he sent you personally to fetch me? This sounds like something incredibly big and interesting is about to happen, doesn't it?"

"It is," Origin replied. "It is the beginning of a system that will change the fate of humanity and other human-like races completely."

Ramiris smiled, her regal mask slipping just enough to reveal the energetic spirit underneath. "Well then, I can't exactly say no to the Creator. Lead the way, Origin! Let's see what Veldanava has in store for us."

After Origin and Ramiris finished talking, they both stepped out of the Dwelling of the Spirits realm and teleported into the Cardinal World, and from there, they teleported to the Heavenly Palace. Upon arrival, Ramiris looked at the place and said, "No matter how many times I come here, it is as majestic and splendid as ever."

Hearing this, Origin said, "Well Ramiris, shall we go and meet Sir Veldanava then? He must be waiting."

Ramiris nodded. "Let's go."

As they arrived at his room and entered, both of them heard Veldanava saying, "What a good movie this Harry Potter film series is... Origin is so kind to bring these movies to me. And 'Dark Lord'... what a majestic title it is. I should have used it instead of the boring Demon Lord as a title. Watching these movies is such a good way to pass time..."

While Veldanava was talking to himself, Ramiris and Origin, who were standing at the door, heard and saw all of this. Both of them twitched at this behavior from their current boss. Ramiris turned to look at Origin. "You brought him all of those—what did he call them—movies?"

"Oh yes, I gave them to Sir Veldanava to pass the time," Origin replied. He then snapped his fingers, turning off the TV and taking all those manga and books away.

Veldanava, who was watching the TV, was so engrossed that he hadn't even noticed or sensed that Origin and Ramiris were there. Suddenly the screen went black. "Huh? How did this thing turn off?"

Veldanava stood up, just as Origin let out a pointed "Cough, cough."

Veldanava turned around and saw Origin and Ramiris standing there, looking at him with weird expressions. Seeing them like this, Veldanava suddenly coughed slightly to regain his dignity and said, "You both are here! Come and sit down."

Origin sighed. "Sir Veldanava, are you reading too much manga? You are acting like a slacking office worker who was caught by his boss. Let's forget about it anyway. Sir Veldanava, I have brought Ramiris. You can explain the plan."

After a few minutes, Origin, Ramiris, and Veldanava sat down as Veldanava started explaining the Hero System, as well as the fact that other races like Elves and Dwarves could also be part of this evolution system.

"The basic line of evolution what I have decided is: Normal Human, then Enlightened, then Saint," Veldanava began. "And with your help, Ramiris, if the human gets picked by an elemental and forms a bond with it... the next important thing is what I will use to counter the Demon Lord, which is the Hero Egg."

"What is a Hero Egg?" asked Ramiris.

Veldanava replied, "Hero's Egg... it is not a physical item but a spiritual qualification and a dormant state that exists within a person's soul. It has no inherent abilities on its own but serves as the necessary prerequisite for the ultimate human evolution. As for how to acquire it, the individual must be a human or at least a demi-human. They must obtain the blessing of a Greater Elemental Spirit of Light or Darkness, as well as the Elemental Queen—which is you, Ramiris. We can't have a bad person or a person with no responsibilities as a hero. The candidate must possess a pure, unclouded heart and an intense, selfless conviction, often described as being willing to shoulder the burdens of humanity. When they hatch their Hero Egg, they will directly become a Spiritual Lifeform and the dormant elemental within them will fully merge with their soul, granting them monstrous power and increased chances of acquiring a powerful Ultimate Skill. They will become a True Hero, the same state as an Awakened Demon Lord."

Ramiris, who heard this, exclaimed, "It is such a good idea, Veldanava! It will be so interesting and fun. I get to bless and choose heroes!"

"It seems you are happy to do this, Ramiris," said Veldanava.

"Of course!" she said, nodding. "So what should I do?"

Veldanava said, "Well, you can explain the plan to the elementals and spirits, and they can choose the humans they like."

"Understood!" Ramiris nodded, said goodbye to Veldanava and Origin, and left.

Once she was gone, Origin said, "Sir Veldanava, I think you are forgetting a fact. The current Demon Lord is Guy. You have to find a suitable human first and then think: could he even match Guy? Only then can he become a True Hero. The human must be very strong, after all, he needs to fight Guy and will also be a symbolic person. He will be the First Hero of Humanity."

Veldanava rubbed his chin. "It is indeed a difficult job. And so, I think..."

Hearing that familiar tone, Origin felt that Sir Veldanava was about to push the work onto him. He immediately spoke up. "I think you, Sir Veldanava, would be the perfect and best candidate to find them. You can even train that human by yourself, making him your student. After all, a human trained by you will definitely be able to fight Guy."

Veldanava blinked. "It seems you are telling the right things. Well, give me some time; I will search and find suitable candidates."

Origin nodded and quickly ran away before Veldanava could find a way to make it his problem again thinking I solved the problem turning the question back at Sir Veldanava.

Veldanava, who watched Origin run away, looked at him with a smile and muttered You will not be able to escape from doing my work so easily Origin.
