Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Second True Dragon

The Heavenly Palace stood suspended in the boundless expanse of the divine sky, a place of infinite grandeur and serenity. Its marble-like walls shimmered with star-like radiance, and its golden spires pierced through the endless firmament, the top of the palace was like space itself was expanding it looked beautiful and breathtaking. To many, it was a realm beyond imagination—yet to Origin Averion and Star King Dragon Veldanava, it was merely another meeting ground.

Veldanava had chosen to arrive with flair. With Wisp of Golden Particles that gathered together very much similar to Gilgamesh from Fate series and Origin arrived using the same way but using the Black Particles as his color for arrival then as he and Origin stepped into the palace. The arrival was theatrical, deliberate, and undeniably stylish.

Origin couldn't help but smirk slightly. "You really do like to show off, don't you, Sir Veldanava?"

Veldanava chuckled, his eyes glittering with playful mischief. "What's the point of being the strongest being in existence if you can't look cool while doing it?"

The two walked further into the divine hall, the sound of their footsteps echoing softly. Yet before their conversation could continue, both suddenly paused.

Then Origin felt it.Another presence.

It was powerful, refined, and brimming with an energy as ancient as the worlds themselves.

Origin turned first. His crimson red eyes narrowed, locking onto the figure gracefully approaching from the far end of the hall.

A beautiful female being appeared, her long white hair flowing like snow under moonlight, her blue eyes gleaming like diamonds. A delicate golden headband rested upon her forehead, shimmering faintly with divine aura. She wore a white and blue dress that accentuated her ethereal beauty, making her appear both regal and untouchable—like winter itself made flesh.

Origin's mind immediately clicked. I know who this is.

She was one of the only four True Dragons to exist. Her name was Velzard, the younger sister of Veldanava himself. Though currently only Veldanava and Velzard exist but surely in the future the other two would be born soon.

Velzard's footsteps echoed softly as she approached her elder brother, her expression lighting up with unfeigned joy.

"Elder Brother! Where did you go?" she asked in a clear, cheerful tone. Her voice carried both youth and reverence, lacking the aloofness and cold indifference that Origin remembered from her future self.

Then, almost as if noticing him for the first time, she pointed a slender finger at Origin. "And… who is he, Elder Brother?"

Origin blinked, momentarily caught off guard. This Velzard was not the one he knew from the future—the aloof, icy dragoness who carried herself with a cold majesty. No, this version was young, cheerful, and openly affectionate toward her brother. The difference was stark.

Veldanava smiled warmly at his sister's question. "He is Origin Averion, a human—and a very close friend of mine."

The words made Velzard's eyes widen with curiosity. "A human? And… close friend?"

Her curiosity was palpable, sparkling in her diamond-blue eyes.

Origin stood straighter under her gaze, but before he could answer, Veldanava continued with a story—crafted with subtle care.

"Well, Origin is a human from another world. He told me that his world was destroyed by a space-time distortion which created a vast void. He was sucked in and transported here, to the Cardinal World. Isn't that right, Origin?"

As he spoke, Veldanava deliberately turned his head away from Velzard, winking slyly at Origin so she wouldn't see.

Origin immediately understood. This was the explanation Veldanava had prepared for him—a perfect cover.

He nodded. "Yes. What Sir Veldanava said is right."

Velzard's expression softened, but her curiosity deepened. The idea of a mere human being not only transported into their world through a void gap and surviving it but also befriending her elder brother fascinated her. She stepped closer, her blue eyes never leaving him.

Origin, seeing her interest, extended his hand politely. "My name is Origin Averion. What is yours?"

Velzard tilted her head slightly, puzzled by the gesture.

Origin chuckled softly. "In human society, when someone extends his hand and introduces himself, the one before him shakes it and introduces themselves as well. It is a sign of greeting and respect."

Velzard blinked once, then smiled. Carefully, she placed her hand in his and shook it, mimicking the gesture. "My name is Velzard. I am the younger sister of Star King Dragon Veldanava—and the second True Dragon after Elder Brother."

Their handshake was brief but symbolic. As Origin felt her soft hand, he couldn't help but note how different she was from the future Velzard he remembered from the Tensura Light Novel—the cold, aloof elder sister who bore the weight of caring for her siblings but couldn't show her emotions and love properly after Veldanava's disappearance.

This Velzard was bright, cheerful, almost innocent.

Once introductions were done, Velzard turned to her elder brother again. "Elder Brother, how did you make friends with Origin? And… is he strong?"

Veldanava smiled knowingly. "Velzard, why don't you ask that question to Origin himself?"

Her gaze returned to him, curious and unrelenting.

Origin sighed thinking what a Good way Sir Veldanava to push all the responsibilities on me he slightly glanced with a corner of eye which made Veldanava turn his head away as he glanced at the beautiful ceiling of the palace the Origin looked at Velzard then thought lightly before answering. "Well, I became friends with Sir Veldanava after he saved me from that void. He named me in order to save my existence, which strengthened me and also allowed me to wield some of his power—specifically, StarDust."

Velzard listened calmly at first, but when he mentioned StarDust, her expression froze.

Her eyes widened in disbelief. "You… can use Elder Brother's StarDust?"

There was a faint flicker of envy—perhaps even jealousy—on her face. StarDust was one of the strongest annihilation energies in existence and it is miraculous substance with a myriad of special properties, possessing destructive power beyond that of spiritrons, second only to Elder Brother Veldanava's Turn Null. For a mere human to wield it was extraordinary.

Origin noticed the flicker in her gaze but said nothing.

Instead, he turned back to Veldanava. "Sir Veldanava, I need a place to practice properly with StarDust Particles. Could you place a barrier for me, or should we go to a separate dimension altogether?"

Before Veldanava could respond, Velzard suddenly interjected, her eyes gleaming with excitement and fighting spirit. "Elder Brother! Please—let me fight Origin!"

Origin blinked. …Wait, what?

Veldanava sighed, his fondness for his younger sister clear. "You always were persistent, Velzard. Very well."

Origin, however, felt something stir inside him. He knew this wasn't a simple spar. Velzard possessed immense power—even now. And she wielded an ability that was especially dangerous.

He recalled clearly:

Velzard had the Ultimate Skill: Lord of Patience – Patience King Gabriel, a gift from Veldanava himself. This skill embodied the concept of Fixation, perfectly matching Velzard's essence of Deceleration—the ability to slow things to unnatural extremes.

The defensive potential of this ability was unmatched, surpassed only by the Ultimate Skill: Justice King Michael's "Castle Guard."

Through mastery of Fixation, Velzard could acquire the ultimate ability: Time Stop. Absolute victory over any opponent incapable of resisting the Suspended World.

It was one of the Original Fourteen Ultimate Skills, among the purest, and one of the seven Virtue Ultimate Skills.

Its powers were vast:

Sub-Skills

Eternal World "Frozen World": A domain that halts everything within, locking them in place and nullifying all attacks.

Solidification – Solidification of Everything: Fixes any object or being into its current state, locking it inside temporal stasis.

Temporal Manipulation: Control over time itself.

Origin thought grimly: Even among the Dragonkin and True Dragons, Velzard is in a class of her own. Second only to Veldanava, her power is unfathomable. He still remembered that her Existence Value is over 80 million what a huge number.

Yet… despite acknowledging this, Origin felt a thrill inside him. A battle with someone of this level was exactly what he longed for so he knew that this fight may be different.

His last great fight—with Mad Titan King Ashura—had been exhilarating and enjoyable, but once he gained his own Ultimate Skill, Omnipotence King En So, the battle turned into a one-sided crush. Plus with the fact that Ashura didn't have an Ultimate Skill that itself made his more powerful after all only and Ultimate Skill can fight or defeat Ultimate Skill user , the only way Ashura was even able fight and damage me was because off him itself being an Ultimate Lifeform.

This… this could be different. Velzard was strong enough to challenge him. Strong enough to make him excited again and make him feel the thrill of battle once again.

"Sir Veldanava," Origin said after a long pause, "since your sister desires this fight, why don't we hold it in another dimension? If we battle here, you'd have to maintain the barrier constantly and plus we don't need the world to be in any more risks after my last fight with Ashura."

Velzard who heard that "Origin was the one who defeated Ashura was even more happy and excited as she said So you are the one who defeated that rampaging beast I always wanted to fight and defeat him but Elder Brother always said no to me but since you defeated Ashura you must quite powerful."

Veldanava nodded quickly fearing that the conversation would lead to another scolding from his younger sister Velzard. "Agreed. A different dimension it is."

Velzard clapped her hands together happily hearing this and said. "Thank you, Elder Brother!"

Origin bowed his head politely. "Thank you for agreeing, Sir Veldanava."

With a wave of his hand, Veldanava opened a pathway. Space rippled and split, revealing an entrance to another dimension. Without hesitation, the three of them stepped inside.

The air shifted. The ground beneath them became an endless plane of crystalline ice and shimmering auroras stretched above.

Here, in this isolated battlefield, the fight between Origin Averion and the Second True Dragon, Velzard, would begin.

And as the icy winds swirled, Velzard's eyes gleamed with excitement.

"Show me, Origin Averion," she said, her voice echoing in the frozen expanse. "Show me the strength that made you worthy of Elder Brother's friendship."

Origin's crimson eyes narrowed, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"As you wish."

The stage was set.
