Alana's POV
Adrian was pacing again.
That same restless, storm-brewing stride he wore whenever his thoughts were locked somewhere far away, somewhere darker than I could follow. His mind was on Lucan. I could tell. And Damon's cryptic words had done nothing but pour oil on the fire.
"Adrian," I said, stepping into his path before he could wear a hole in the floor. "Enough."
He stilled, his eyes narrowing. "Enough?"
"Yes." I folded my arms, planting my feet as firmly as if I was holding back the tide. "You've been drowning in problems since the moment your brother found this palace. For one day… just one forget about your brothers, the Council, the unanswered questions. And come with me."
His brows drew together. "And do what?"
"Be my Alpha and I will be your Luna." My lips softened into the smallest of smiles. "Let's go together and see how our people are doing. Show them we stand together."
