"Heh heh heh…"
A towering body of black, clad in violet armor and wrapped in green vines.
This was Argomon's Mega form.
Its design was based on the Hundred-Eyed Giant from Greek mythology.
As the massive Digimon rose, it shattered the underground chamber, emerging above ground. Its chilling laughter echoed in every direction, sending shivers down the spine of all who heard it.
"All of humanity has been sealed away. Angewomon—you can't gather the world's DigiSoul now."
Argomon looked down at Moss, Kudamon, Nanami, and Feathered Serpentmon. Hundreds of eyes opened across its body, each one staring directly at Moss.
Then it spoke—in Kurata II's voice:
"Without DigiSoul, you're useless. Kneel. Beg before me like the insect you are."
Moss didn't answer. Silently, she used the account granted by the Arc Reactor to contact her allies from across the Digital multiverse.
This was a global crisis, one tied to something special. Charging in recklessly might cost everything.
So she prepared to unleash the ultimate technique of the Digital Justice League—
Righteous Beatdown.
It wasn't instant. It required setup.
Kudamon, Nanami, and Feathered Serpentmon didn't know what Moss was planning. Seeing her remain silent, they assumed she had no ideas left.
"I'll handle this!"
Kudamon stepped forward, gathering energy and Mega Digivolving into Sleipmon. He took to the skies, gazing down at Argomon.
"Rainbow Bridge Blaster!"
Sleipmon focused energy into the Muspelheim Holy Bow on his left arm, conjuring a searing bolt of light and launching it.
"Hmph…"
Argomon casually raised its hand—and caught the arrow as if it were nothing.
"What?!"
Sleipmon was stunned.
Argomon sneered, tightened its grip, and hurled the arrow back.
Sleipmon quickly raised the Niflheim Holy Shield on his right arm. The arrow exploded against it.
BOOM!
Dozens of eye beams burst from Argomon's body—its attack was called Twisting Rays, beams powerful enough to warp space itself.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!
The barrage engulfed Sleipmon. Even with armor forged from Time-Digizoid, he was overwhelmed. Gravely wounded, he plummeted to the ground and de-Digivolved back into Kudamon.
From offense to defeat—in less than three seconds.
"This… this level of power!"
Kudamon gritted his teeth, staggering back to his feet. The power gap was staggering.
Nanami stepped forward. "Let me do it."
"You?" Kudamon blinked.
"He stole my body. That's unforgivable!" Nanami looked to Moss, thinking she'd need permission to return to her body.
Moss caught her meaning. "Ask Feathered Serpentmon."
Nanami turned. Feathered Serpentmon, still upset, said, "If you can make me stronger—if you can beat that thing—go ahead."
Nanami smiled and instantly returned to her body.
Soul reconnected.
Kudamon warned her, "Don't be reckless. You're no match for Argomon."
If Moss healed him, he could re-Digivolve and lead everyone to retreat. He might not be able to win, but his speed made him one of the few who could escape an opponent like this.
"Don't underestimate me. I'm a genius!"
Nanami's voice rang out from Feathered Serpentmon's mouth.
A fierce DigiSoul ignited.
It wrapped her in a cocoon of light—and when it dispersed, she had Digivolved into Minervamon.
"Minervamon, huh…"
Kudamon's eyes lit up… then dimmed. Minervamon might be a warrior of the Olympos XII, but still no match for Argomon.
"I'm not done yet!"
Minervamon roared as her body radiated light. Her petite, girl-like frame grew into that of a tall, muscular woman—taller than Moss.
Her Olympia Greatsword shifted shape. Her shield transformed drastically, sprouting a white-armored snake head on the left side.
Its name: Medulia.
"While my soul wandered Tokyo for weeks, I entered countless dreams, fighting nightmare after nightmare. Through that willpower, I've grown. I've become stronger—behold, Melvamon!"
Melvamon turned to Moss. "Originally, I was going to use this against you. But now…"
She turned to Argomon.
"You'll pay the price first."
She dashed forward like lightning, swung the Olympia Greatsword with brutal force.
The sword crashed down, earth splitting beneath her strike—
CRACK!
But the blade couldn't pierce Argomon's armor. Not even enough force to make it budge.
"Sigh… still not enough," Kudamon muttered.
Melvamon was strong, but her blow hadn't matched the power of Sleipmon's Rainbow Bridge Blaster. No wonder it did nothing.
"Impressive," Moss whispered.
"Is that all? Pathetic." Argomon scoffed. He could've interrupted her evolution, but hadn't.
Why?
Because he was confident.
Confident that no matter how much they evolved, none could match him.
"Time to die, little insect."
Argomon opened its mouth and fired beams of light—
Its strongest move: Tera Catastrophe.
"Tera" as in a trillion gigabytes.
Comparable to a thousand Gigadramons packed into one blast.
"Watch out! Get out of there!" Kudamon yelled.
If Melvamon was hit—it would be the end.
But in that instant—her white belly rippled with muscle. Her six-pack flexed, surging with core power.
She twisted through the air, dodging the beams with ballet-like grace.
"Oh?" Argomon was caught off guard.
Then he sneered. "You can dodge for now. But I can miss all day—you only need to get hit once. How long can you keep dancing?"
"Can I?"
Melvamon smiled.
"?!"
Argomon's heart raced.
For a moment, he saw her not as an enemy—but as the embodiment of everything he longed for. Stunning. Alluring. Irresistible.
He was in love.
"That's it," Melvamon cooed. "Keep adoring me. Let all your energy pour out…"
Warmth radiated around Argomon—like an invisible sun.
"He's releasing energy?" Kudamon was shocked.
Not to attack. Not to defend. Just… leaking power.
Wasting energy.
"Good boy, just like that." Melvamon smiled seductively.
While spinning midair, she had secretly activated Medulia's special move—the Love Toxin.
Inhaled, it wouldn't kill—but it made the target fall hopelessly in love with Melvamon. And once charmed, she could drain their energy using illusions.
That energy—called life force or spirit—was what powered a Digimon.
Even someone as strong as Argomon, drained long enough, would be forced to de-Digivolve.
"So this is her plan," Kudamon realized. "Victory doesn't always come from strength… it comes from strategy. This is…"
"A honey trap," Moss said.
Argomon had been ensnared.
The battle might be over soon—until—
"I've had enough of this…"
Suddenly, Argomon's voice changed. His energy stopped leaking.
"!"
Melvamon was alarmed.
"Wait—was that Argomon's real voice?" Kudamon blinked.
Until now, Argomon had been controlled by Kurata II. But now, its original core had taken over, using sheer willpower to suppress the Love Toxin.
"That guy was just a human. He didn't understand true power. But me… I'm different."
Argomon's body began to transform.
His limbs and torso swelled. His armor thickened. Two massive wings emerged from his back.
In the center of his chest was a crystal—and inside it… Kurata II.
No longer the pilot—just a battery.
"RAAAHH!"
Argomon roared. The earth trembled.
Melvamon was blasted back by the shockwave, crashing into rubble.
"That… that was just from his roar?!"
Kudamon covered his ears. The sound alone had knocked back a Mega-level Digimon.
Such terrifying power!
Kudamon's hope dimmed.
Is this the end for the human world?
"He's reached Super Mega level," Moss said.
Kudamon blinked. "That… exists?"
Even as a Royal Knight, he'd never heard of that tier.
Wouldn't that mean things just got worse?
Then why was Moss still calm?
"Some Digital Worlds have that level," she explained.
"Some…?" Kudamon murmured.
"But it's fine. Because we have Super Megas too."
Moss spread her arms. Her armor turned black and white—Mastemon's armor.
Kudamon's eyes widened. "You… you've mastered light and darkness? Are you the Super Mega?"
"Nope," Moss said.
She clapped her hands together—light and darkness fused—unleashing a beam behind her.
Dozens of interdimensional gates opened.
From them stepped Digimon and Tamers from across time and space.
"Even… two Tai Kamiyas?!"
Moss called out:
"Digital Justice League—assemble!"
"Yeah!!"
Their cries rose like a tsunami.
Kudamon gasped. "These people… are they from alternate worlds?"
He didn't need an answer.
"A Super Mega-level foe, huh? ZeroMaru—let's go!"
"Ultimate V-Dramon – Future Mode!"
This form usually needed the Digital Spirit to achieve, but this Tai Kamiya substitute used his own body to push through.
"Hyaaah!!"
Ultimate V-Dramon shot toward Argomon.
"You think weaklings will help?" Argomon scoffed.
But the clash was even.
Argomon was stunned. He was supposed to be unbeatable. How could a child and a Digimon match him?
Impossible! He must not be used to his power yet!
I am Argomon! I am unbeatable!!
"Humans… fusing with Digimon?" Kudamon was stunned. "They really are from other worlds…"
Their world had fusion—but not like this.
"That other me is amazing," the original Tai muttered. "Agumon, let's go!"
"Yeah!" Agumon replied.
The Season 1 team brought out the Arc Reactors they'd obtained in the Season 3 world.
They were better than the old Digivices.
"WarGreymon!"
"MetalGarurumon!"
"Phoenixmon!"
"HerculesKabuterimon!"
"Rosemon!"
"Vikemon!"
"Seraphimon!"
"Magnadramon!"
Eight more Megas joined the fight, empowered by fusion with their partners.
"They really are the original team!"
From the Season 3 team, Takato Matsuki brightened up.
"Guilmon—Digivolve!"
"Gallantmon (Crimson Mode)!"
Kudamon flinched. For a moment, he thought his coworker had arrived.
But no—it was just another version.
The other Tamers followed.
"Sakuyamon!"
"Megidramon!"
"Justimon!"
Next up—Season 4.
"Let's skip the warmup and go straight to Susanoomon," said Löwemon.
"Alright!"
Takuya and the others gathered in a circle—
"Fusion Evolution—Susanoomon!"
A dragon head for the left hand, a wolf for the right—Kudamon almost mistook him for an alternate Omnimon.
"I'm coming too!"
A punch crashed onto Argomon's head, knocking him back half a step.
Marcus Damon had arrived!
"A brawl without me? No way!"
While Argomon was distracted by Melvamon's charms, his grip over the Curse Vines had weakened—Agumon S and others used the moment to rescue the human partners.
Around the world, DATS agents were freed by their Digimon and began destroying vines en masse.
"ShineGreymon Burst Mode!"
"MirageGaogamon Burst Mode!"
"Rosemon Burst Mode!"
"Ravemon Burst Mode!"
Season 5's full team had arrived. Not only did their Digimon reach Mega—they had unlocked Burst Mode.
Moss murmured, "I wonder if ShineGreymon and MirageGaogamon can fuse into a new kind of Omnimon…"
"?!" Kudamon's eyes twitched.
You're insane!
Their current power already rivaled the Royal Knights. Fusion might create something beyond comprehension.
