Isabelle and Fern left the hotel and began shopping. The sun was about to set as they walked around. Fern saw homeless people in the streets and felt sad.
Isabelle said to her brother: "Don't be afraid, I'm here with you."
They continued walking until they found a slave market, where they saw children and women being sold.
Isabelle and Fern realized the harshness of the real world. They understood that if they didn't find someone to protect them, the outside world would devour them, because they were still young, weak, and easy to exploit.
After finishing their shopping, Isabelle said to her brother Fern:
"Let's go back, night is approaching, and the place is dangerous."
As Isabelle and Fern were returning to the hotel, there was a group of strong students. When the students saw Isabelle — who was a beautiful girl with a beautiful body — even though she hid some of her beauty, she was like the moon at night; even if clouds covered half its light, the moon would remain bright and beautiful.
One of the students said:
"Look at that beautiful girl and her brother. Let's go and talk to her."
The three students went toward Isabelle. When Isabelle saw them coming, she increased her pace.
Fern asked:
"Why are you walking so fast?"
Isabelle replied:
"It's nothing. Just keep walking before night falls."
But unfortunately, the noble boys were faster and blocked Isabelle's way. She avoided them and tried to move away, but one of the three grabbed her hand and said:
"Why are you avoiding me like this?"
Isabelle said:
"I don't want to talk to you."
The young man said:
"Why are you so cold? At least let me introduce myself."
Isabelle replied:
"I don't want to know you. Leave me alone."
The young man tried to grab her again, but Fern stopped him, hit his hand away from his sister, and said:
"Stay away from my sister. Who do you think she is? Do you think she has no honor to speak with someone she has never seen before?"
The young man said:
"I'm very sorry for not introducing myself. I am the son of Count Gustav, and my name is Kron Andrik de Gustav. A pleasure to meet you."
Isabelle replied:
"Please, I don't want to talk to you. Let me go. I'm in a hurry and have many things to do."
The young man said:
"How can you refuse a noble like me? You filthy girl, I will take you with me and make you my wife. How can a beautiful girl like you keep living here?"
Isabelle said:
"I don't want that. I already have a lover and he is the one I will marry, so stay away from me."
Kron tried to hit Isabelle, but Fern pushed him to the ground. Fern grabbed his sister's hand and said:
"Let's run to the hotel; they will protect us there."
When Fern and Isabelle tried to run, Kron's two friends launched a magical attack on Fern and froze his legs so he couldn't escape. Kron stood up and said:
"How dare someone like you push a noble?"
While Fern's legs were frozen, Kron approached him and started punching him hard until blood began flowing from his face. Isabelle begged him to stop.
Kron said:
"This is your fault. If you had agreed, your brother wouldn't be suffering like this."
Isabelle started crying because the only family member she had left was being beaten in front of her. Everyone was watching but couldn't intervene because Kron and his friends were nobles.
People whispered:
"Damn nobles… they always bully the weak."
The scene was close to the hotel, and night had already fallen. Meanwhile, Mohamed was training and noticed that Fern and Isabelle were late bringing dinner. He began to worry, but his worry eased because he thought they were in their room — unaware that they had gone out right after returning.
Kron continued beating Fern nonstop until Fern's face became unrecognizable from the blows. Isabelle kept begging him to stop, but he didn't.
Isabelle asked the people around for help, but no one intervened. Kron said:
"No one will interfere. Everyone is afraid for their family. Nobody wants to get involved in problems he doesn't need.".
