I am finally going to school for the last time before I fly out for South Korea. I am so excited to finally get out here.
"Okay, class, we are to go on winter break in two weeks; that means we have to take our midterm test." - Teacher
"When is the test, Miss?" - Student
The test is next week Friday, but there will be one student that will not be taking the test."- Teacher
"Who will it be, miss?" -Student
"Jenni, she is going on a scholarship to South Korea to the most popular and best-educating college." -Teacher
"Ugh, of course it's Jenni. At least she will be with the freaks that she belongs with." - Bully
"Now, what did I say about bullying? You are getting detention." -Teacher
Oh, why did Miss have to tell everyone about my leave? I just wish I could disappear from their lives and go away without a word.
"Jenni, here's the test." -Teacher
"Thank you, Miss. I will do it now."- Jenni
The test was easy so I passed it. I had many more tests that day because it's my last day and I think I did quite well.
It is now the end of the day and everyone is leaving when my bully came up to me.
"Hey, Jenni, Bully says while slamming the desk.
" you think you can run away from being a loser; just know one thing: wherever you go, you will stick out like a sore thumb and you will always be a freak. - Bully
What she said got stuck in my mind all the way home. When I got home, I saw my mom waiting for me.
"Jenni, are you ok? you look down." -Mom
"I'm alright, mom. I was just thinking about how much I will miss you and my friends in Korea."- Jenni
"Well, I just know that they and I will miss you as well, sweatie. By the way, did you pass your tests today?"- Mom
"Yes, mom, I did, and I passed all of them!" - Jenni
"That's good, honey. I prepared an early dinner so we can sleep early to wake up tomorrow. While eating, it would be nice if we got to talk."- Mom
"Okay mom. I will shower after dinner then." -Jenni
The conversation with mom was alright. All we spoke about was whether I was ready for school and how I should avoid getting too close to boys. I am sure she doesn't have to worry about that anyway; boys aren't into me so she doesn't need to worry about that. Otherwise, I cannot wait for tomorrow.
