Chapter 229 - #229

Kaedehara Manyo remained in a deep coma. Conan and the others couldn't do much to help him.

"Put him in the spare room," Conan instructed, adjusting his glasses. "I'm sure he'll wake up eventually."

Ran and Kogoro carefully laid Manyo down inside the house, leaving him to rest peacefully.

Outside the villa, the environment was a pitch-black nightmare. The dark-brown fleshy walls constantly writhed, and the acidic sea violently swayed beneath them. The monstrous meat blob was clearly still on the move.

Meanwhile, high in the Earth's atmosphere, Momoshiki, Urashiki, and Kinshiki pushed their flight speed to the absolute limit.

The Sunagakure air fortress, hindered by its massive stone weight, was painfully slow in comparison. It didn't take long for the three Otsutsuki gods to catch up.

Momoshiki stared at the colossal flying structure, immediately bursting into cruel, mocking laughter. "Haha! This world is truly primitive. They actually use crude rocks to build their vessels."

"Are they still stuck in the Stone Age?" Urashiki sneered, his Rinnegan gleaming with amusement.

"Most likely," Momoshiki replied, his tone dripping with absolute disdain. "The creatures scurrying around down there are probably no better than wild monkeys."

"They certainly seem quite nervous," Urashiki noted, watching the frantic movements on the fortress deck.

Down below, the 5th and 6th Divisions were scrambling.

The radar screens blared violently as three massive energy signatures appeared overhead. Hayato, the captain of the 5th Division, knew instantly that things were about to go south.

The fighters from both divisions rapidly took up their combat positions. They spread out along the perimeter of the fortress, locking down all potential boarding angles to prevent the unknown intruders from advancing.

They hid behind stone parapets or stood their ground openly, gripping their weapons as they stared at the trio hovering in the sky.

The unnaturally pale, ghostly appearance of the Otsutsuki was deeply unsettling, radiating a suffocating aura of death.

"I've got a really bad feeling about these guys," Sakyo muttered, cold sweat dripping down his brow. "They're incredibly strong."

"You don't need to say it," Michiki snapped, his knuckles turning white around his weapon. "I can see it with my own eyes."

Godai Yusuke stepped forward, raising a placating hand to his squad. "Everyone, don't do anything impulsive. We don't know why they're here yet. Let's try communicating first."

The others reluctantly agreed, holding their fire as the tension thickened the air.

Yusuke stood tall on the observation deck, projecting his voice upward toward the floating gods.

"Who are you?!" Yusuke shouted over the howling wind. "This is a fortified vessel of Sunagakure! If you have no business here, please leave immediately!"

Urashiki chuckled, resting his glowing red fishing rod on his shoulder. "Oh? The monkeys are shouting at us. What should we do, Momoshiki? Shall we exterminate them?"

Momoshiki wasn't paying attention to the fortress. His pale eyes were locked on the distant horizon, where the massive electromagnetic pillar was visibly weakening.

'The one who set the trap is trying to escape,' Momoshiki thought, his eyes narrowing with malice.

He cast a deeply contemptuous glance at the stone fortress, viewing it as nothing more than a child's crude, muddy toy.

"I'll leave it to you to clean up these screeching monkeys," Momoshiki said dismissively.

He gestured to the towering giant beside him. "Let's go, Kinshiki."

Without another word, Momoshiki and Kinshiki blurred into the sky, tearing through the clouds as they flew rapidly toward Sunagakure.

Yusuke and the other defenders watched in confusion as two of the terrifying intruders left, leaving only one behind.

Urashiki floated lazily above the fortress, exuding an aura of absolute, sickening arrogance.

He possessed unnaturally pale skin and long, light-blue hair tied back in a high ponytail. He lacked eyebrows, sported two dark dots on his forehead, and had a pair of shield-shaped horns protruding from his skull.

His eyes shifted effortlessly, transitioning from the piercing white Byakugan to the rippling blue Rinnegan.

He wore elegant white robes and casually wielded a glowing red chakra fishing rod. In battle, he used the ethereal line and hook to instantly rip chakra straight out of his victims' bodies.

Urashiki smiled, a cruel, mocking curve stretching across his lips. "Now then... how should I play with you?"

His condescending tone instantly pissed off everyone on the deck.

"Damn you!" Michiki cursed loudly, stepping aggressively up to the railing. "You arrogant bastard! If you've got the guts, come down here and fight me face-to-face!"

"Don't provoke him!" Yusuke hissed, desperately trying to keep the peace.

Miyuki ignored the warning, smoothly drawing her twin swords with a sharp, echoing shing.

"This isn't about provoking him anymore," Miyuki said coldly, her eyes locked on the floating god. "He's already preparing to attack."

Urashiki twirled the glowing red fishing rod in his hands with casual grace.

He swung the rod violently toward the fortress, unleashing a devastating wave of ethereal energy.

Countless glowing red fishhooks shot from the line, raining down on the deck like a collapsing galaxy of bloody stars.

The sheer density and speed of the attack was terrifying.

"Everyone, engage!" Yusuke roared, completely abandoning diplomacy.

"Henshin!"

"Henshin!"

A massive chorus of battle cries echoed across the fortress. The shouts were immediately followed by blinding, colorful flashes of technological light that illuminated the stormy sky like a rainbow.

Urashiki paused mid-air, his smug expression replaced by genuine bewilderment.

"What exactly are they doing?" he muttered, tilting his head.

The people he had just dismissed as primitive monkeys were suddenly encased in strange, highly advanced suits of armor, wielding bizarre mechanical weapons.

"What is the meaning of this?" Urashiki mused. "Are these the so-called samurai of this world? Let's see what you can actually do."

Thousands of red fishhooks descended upon the deck like a swarm of starving vipers, snapping viciously at the armored Riders.

"Go to hell, you pale freak!"

"You dared to look down on us?!"

"Eat this!"

The Kamen Riders were absolutely furious. They met the descending hooks with a storm of mechanized violence.

Blades, energy arrows, armored punches, and devastating kicks tore through the air. The combined assault easily deflected the barrage, violently shattering the incoming hooks.

Urashiki quickly retracted his glowing line, his pale eyes widening in shock.

He could feel it. The fishhooks hadn't absorbed a single drop of chakra from the armored warriors.

"You don't use chakra?" Urashiki asked, his voice laced with absolute disbelief.

The armored knights stood together on the deck, pointing their high-tech weapons up at the false god.

"Open your eyes, you arrogant bastard!" they shouted in unison. "We are Kamen Riders! We don't rely on chakra!"

Urashiki didn't know what a 'Kamen Rider' was, and he certainly didn't care.

His brief shock quickly morphed into a dark, murderous sneer. "So, you really are just a bunch of primitive savages who can't even mold chakra. Then I will simply slaughter you."

He channeled raw, overwhelming power into his Rinnegan.

A terrifying surge of atmospheric pressure exploded outward from his eyes. The violently compressed air rapidly morphed into a massive, scimitar-shaped wind blade that slashed brutally downward, aiming to cleave the entire air fortress in half.

The scimitar-shaped wind blade came spinning violently through the air. In the nick of time, the Sunagakure air fortress activated its ion defense shield.

The invisible blade slammed into the top of the barrier with a piercing, high-pitched whistle. The light blue energy shield buckled inward, visibly struggling to withstand the sheer atmospheric pressure.

The compressed wind clashed fiercely against the ionized barrier. The contact point flared with fluctuating blue sparks, burning like a blazing inferno against the dark sky.

Staring up at the sparking blue flames, Michiki let out a heavy, frustrated sigh. "This guy is insanely strong!"

"No kidding," Godai Yusuke agreed, his posture tense. "Otherwise, he wouldn't have been left behind to deal with all of us alone."

"Then let's stop holding back," Michiki declared, resting a hand on his weapon.

Clack. Clack.

All along the fortress perimeter, the jaws of various stone statues snapped open. Thick steel gun barrels slid out from the ancient rock, bristling with lethal intent.

"Looks like the 5th Division is done waiting," Yusuke muttered.

When you were outgunned, you aimed carefully. But when you had Sunagakure's massive military budget under Mufasa's command, you just blew everything to hell. Fully upgrading the old Sky Ninja fortress's weapon systems had been mere pocket change.

'I still don't get why they built all these creepy, ancient ruin-style statues,' Michiki thought, shaking his head. 'But hiding missile launchers inside the snake heads was a solid design choice.'

With a mechanical hum, hundreds of heavily modified gun barrels locked directly onto Otsutsuki Urashiki in the sky above.

Urashiki was completely oblivious to the impending danger. He was just about to mock the monkeys for their decent defensive shield when a massive wall of fire erupted across the entire face of the fortress.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

A devastating swarm of missiles and artillery shells blanketed the sky, hurtling straight toward him.

'A revolt?' Urashiki thought, a cruel smirk touching his pale lips. 'How interesting.'

The veins around Urashiki's temples bulged violently as he activated his Byakugan. The legendary dojutsu instantly granted him a perfect spherical field of vision.

With an insight that far surpassed the Sharingan, he could easily track the exact trajectory of every single warhead flying his way.

'Let's have a little fun.'

Instead of dodging or retreating, Urashiki arrogantly dove headfirst into the missile swarm. Armed with absolute confidence, he flicked his glowing red fishing rod with a lazy flick of his wrist.

The ethereal hook effortlessly tapped the nose of the nearest warhead, detonating it instantly.

He danced through the lethal barrage like a butterfly. He gracefully weaved through the tightest gaps, occasionally detonating shells just to watch the resulting blast.

The heavy missiles exploded around him like a grand fireworks display, completely failing to leave even a scratch on his pale skin. He was treating Sunagakure's heaviest artillery barrage like his own personal laser light show.

Watching this arrogant display, Michiki's blood boiled. "That cocky bastard. I'm going to kill him!"

Boom! Boom!

The largest stone gate of the fortress ground open, revealing a towering, ferocious steel behemoth primed for combat.

The Kamen Riders stared in awe. The 5th Division was clearly pissed off, bringing out one of Mufasa's heavily armed custom Gundam mechas. Despite the sheer cost, Mufasa had actually caved and equipped the division with the heavy artillery units.

"The 5th Division is showing off their toys," Michiki growled, cracking his knuckles eagerly. "The 6th Division can't lag behind. I'm going to—"

Godai Yusuke suddenly jumped in front of him, raising his hands to halt the advance.

"Wait! The enemy can fly freely, and you all just saw his reflexes," Yusuke warned. "He's lethal at both close and long range. This isn't something any of us can handle solo!"

The other Riders exchanged tense glances, nodding in grim agreement.

Yusuke extended his hands earnestly toward his team. "As your senior, I'm asking you to lend me your power. Only by combining our strength can we take this guy down."

Michiki scowled, visibly annoyed. He had wanted to lead the charge, but Yusuke had completely stolen his thunder.

"Hey, if we're sending someone out there, it should be me," Michiki snapped. "I'm way stronger than you."

Yusuke just smiled his signature warm, easygoing smile. "Then let's let the team decide."

The Riders didn't even hesitate.

Sakyo stepped forward first. "Yusuke, I've got your back."

He tapped his belt, extracting a glowing orb of compressed chakra and tossing it to his senior. Sakyo threw up a quick two-finger salute. "Show him what we're made of."

Yusuke laughed cheerfully, catching the energy sphere. Soon, the rest of the squad chimed in, tossing their own compressed power forward.

"Take mine too!"

"Use my power, Yusuke!"

Yusuke was easygoing and a bit simple-minded, but his unshakable will to protect others made him far more popular than the domineering Michiki. Beams of multicolored light—red, orange, green, and blue—shot from the Riders' belts, funneling directly into Yusuke's armor.

A roaring aura of golden flames ignited around Yusuke's body.

Seeing the overwhelming support, Michiki finally relented with an annoyed grunt. "Fine, bastard. Just make sure you survive. It'd be way too embarrassing if you died while using my power."

Yusuke flashed his signature confident thumbs-up. "Don't worry. I've got two thousand different skills under my belt."

As the ultimate dreamer, Yusuke could feel the combined power of his comrades pushing him to the absolute peak. He slammed his fists together, his voice echoing over the howling wind.

"Chou Henshin!" Yusuke roared. "Watch closely! To protect everyone's smiles, I will become the ultimate darkness!"

The Super Rising Ultimate Form took hold.

His body rapidly expanded to over two meters tall, completely encased in gleaming, golden-yellow armor.

His helmet extended outward into a jagged, terrifying stag-like crown.

Thick, heavily patterned plating locked into place across his joints, radiating an aura of absolute, crushing power.

The strongest Kamen Rider had finally taken the stage.
