"Fort, move your face a little closer to Peat's-look into his eyes," the photographer directed.

Fort obeyed without hesitation, turning slightly, his gaze locking with Peat's.

"Yes... just like that," the photographer murmured, clicking away.

After a few more snaps, the photographer stepped back and turned to his team. "Alright, let's take a ten-minute break."

Fort and Peat made their way to the changing room, settling onto the bench in comfortable silence.

"Phi, what are you doing for Sornkan?" Fort asked, glancing at Peat as he reached for a towel.

Peat took a slow sip of juice before answering. "Nothing, really. I don't think I'll be able to visit home this year. I'll just stay at my condo."

"You're not going to the Sornkan festival party?" Fort asked, a hint of disappointment slipping into his voice.

Peat shook his head. "No. I'm not a fan of noisy places."

"I know," Fort admitted, eyes fixed on him, "but... I really want to go with you. It'd be fun, Peat. Just the two of us."

Peat caught the look in Fort's eyes-earnest, hopeful. He could tell how much this meant to him.

"I'll let you know if I decide to go," Peat said softly, and with that, they both stood, beginning to change into their next outfits for the shoot.

As they changed into their next outfits, Peat felt Fort's gaze settle on him again-heavy, lingering. It sent an unexpected rush through his chest, his heart beating faster than it should.

He couldn't explain it. Not really.

Fort had always watched him. Since Love in the Air, those eyes had been on him like second nature. But something shifted after they filmed Love Sea. The air between them changed-subtly, but undeniably. Especially when they were alone.

It was the way Fort looked at him now. Like he was still Mahasamut. Like Peat was still his.

That look... the one Fort gave him when he was changing, or wearing something that clung too well to his skin-it unnerved Peat more than he cared to admit. It wasn't acting anymore. At least, it didn't feel like it.

Sometimes, Peat caught himself wondering if Fort even knew where the character ended and where he began.

"Phi, you look really good in that dress," Fort's voice came low-too close, too soft-right beside his ear.

Peat jolted slightly, pulled from his spiraling thoughts. "Oh... yeah. Thanks," he replied, trying to sound casual.

But then his eyes met Fort's in the mirror in front of them.

When did he get so close?

Peat's breath hitched. Fort stood behind him-shirtless-his eyes dragging slowly over Peat's reflection like he was memorizing every line, every curve, every inch.

And suddenly, the small changing room felt far too quiet. Far too warm.

"Phi, I really want you to come to the Sornkan festival with me," Fort whispered, voice laced with quiet insistence as he leaned in close again.

Peat's heart stuttered. "I'll go," he muttered before he could stop himself.

A beat of silence.

"Oh-I mean, I'll think about it," he quickly corrected, avoiding Fort's eyes.

Fort chuckled, low and warm. "Too late. I'm taking the first one as your answer," he said, his smile soft but eyes gleaming with something deeper-something that made Peat's skin prickle.

He kept staring.

Peat tried to stay composed, tried to keep up the usual cool distance he maintained whenever others were around. But when it was just the two of them-when Fort teased him like this, when his voice dropped and his gaze lingered-Peat reacted differently. And Fort noticed. He always noticed.

And he loved it.

Just as the air between them began to thicken again, their manager's voice cut through the moment.

"Khun Fort, go get dressed. You're both due out in two minutes."

Fort didn't move right away. His eyes lingered on Peat a second longer, lips still curved in that knowing smile. Then, with a small nod, he turned to grab his outfit-leaving Peat with the echo of his words and a heartbeat he couldn't quite calm.

Peat exhaled slowly as Fort turned away, but the warmth from his presence still clung to the air around him. He watched Fort casually pick up his shirt, the muscles in his back flexing slightly as he moved. It shouldn't have felt intimate-but it did.

Peat bit the inside of his cheek and turned back to the mirror, adjusting the collar of his outfit with shaky fingers. He shouldn't have said yes. Or maybe he meant it more than he wanted to admit.

"You're staring," Fort said suddenly, not even looking at him.

Peat's eyes snapped away, flustered. "No, I wasn't."

Fort pulled his shirt over his head, grinning. "It's okay, Phi. I stare at you all the time."

Peat froze, caught between embarrassment and something else he couldn't quite name. Fort's tone was light, teasing-but there was a weight behind his words that made Peat's chest feel tight.

"You shouldn't say things like that," Peat muttered, turning away and pretending to fix the hem of his sleeve.

"Why?" Fort asked, voice lower now. "Because it's not true? Or because you don't want it to be?"

Peat looked up, and Fort was already standing close again-closer than he should've been, their manager's warning clearly forgotten. His eyes searched Peat's face, waiting for something... a crack in the armor, a sign to lean in further.

Peat's lips parted, but no words came.

There was a pause-one beat, then another-charged with everything unsaid between them.

Then footsteps echoed just outside the door, the room had suddenly grown too small.

"Let's just get through this shoot," he said quietly, not quite meeting Fort's gaze.

Fort didn't press. But the way he smiled said everything.

They both knew this wasn't over.
