Seeing Uchiha Shin forcibly accelerating the planet's rotation to manipulate night and day, Kaguya Otsutsuki's usually cold expression faltered for a brief moment. Even she was taken aback.
But amidst her surprise, she quickly understood his intentions.
"Hm? Shin, are you planning to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi?"
"To be more precise, I intend to cast [Infinite Tsukuyomi]," Uchiha Shin replied, a smirk curling at the corner of his lips. The idea had struck him just moments ago.
If successful, every living being on Earth would fall under his absolute control. There would be no need for war, no need for conquest—because everything would already belong to him.
"The ultimate genjutsu… A technique capable of rewriting human will." Kaguya nodded slightly, her voice indifferent. She had no concern for humanity's fate. Whether they lived, died, or were bent to Shin's will, it was all the same to her.
Meanwhile, the Ten-Tails roared, its transformation triggering violent upheavals across the land. The skies darkened as the planet itself reacted to its presence—earthquakes, tornadoes, lightning storms, tsunamis, all raging across the continent like nature's rebellion against the divine beast.
"The land itself trembles…"
Uchiha Shin merely raised a hand, and with sheer force of will, suppressed the chaos. The Ten-Tails continued its metamorphosis, entering its third phase. Soon, it would fully evolve into the God Tree.
Once the transformation was complete, Shin would extract Kaguya's remaining essence from within himself and implant it into the God Tree, facilitating her true resurrection in a physical form. He was genuinely curious—would she be more powerful as a flesh-and-blood Otsutsuki or as the eternal lifeforce she once embodied?
But Shin was not the only one aware of these grand events.
Within the Pure Land, Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki turned their gazes toward the realm of the living. Their expressions were grim.
"The situation has escalated far more quickly than anticipated."
Hagoromo sighed before turning toward the two legendary shinobi standing before him—Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama, now restored to physical form.
"You both understand the gravity of this, don't you?"
Madara stood still, arms crossed, his expression unreadable. But beneath that cold exterior, a storm of emotions raged within him.
His grand vision—the Eye of the Moon Plan—had been utterly eclipsed.
Shin had not only usurped his ambitions but had surpassed them in every conceivable way. This was a level of power that even Madara, in his arrogance, had never dreamed of.
More than anything, he hated that he understood it. He knew the temptation Shin had fallen to. After all, he himself had once walked this same path.
A bitter chuckle escaped his lips. "Hashirama, your granddaughter's husband is quite ambitious. What do you intend to do?"
Hashirama, for once, looked conflicted. He scratched the back of his head in frustration.
Uchiha Shin was both a descendant of the Uchiha clan and married to his granddaughter. That made him his grandson-in-law.
And yet… Shin had unified the Land of Fire. He had waged war on the entire ninja world. He had done everything in his power to end all conflict—but at what cost?
Even if his methods were tyrannical, could they truly say he was wrong?
"Damn it, this is so annoying!" Hashirama groaned, running a hand through his hair. He wasn't someone who enjoyed overthinking.
Hagoromo's voice was calm, but firm. "We do not deny the strength of his vision. However, his path leads to the resurrection of Kaguya. And if she returns, humanity will suffer."
Images of the past flashed before them—Kaguya's reign of terror, the world reduced to an endless feeding ground for the God Tree, humans stripped of their free will, reduced to mere sustenance.
Hashirama clenched his fists. He knew what had to be done.
"Shin might have been misled," Madara remarked, a smirk tugging at his lips. He had once been deceived too, manipulated by forces beyond his understanding. It seemed almost poetic that another Uchiha had fallen into a similar trap.
"Stopping him is all that matters," Hagoromo stated. "We do not need to kill him. If we use the [Six Paths Chibaku Tensei] to seal him, we can release him once he understands."
Hashirama exhaled in relief. At least he wouldn't have to fight Shin to the death.
Hagoromo and Hamura nodded at the two legendary shinobi. A moment later, they were gone, sent back to the living world.
The moment they re-entered the battlefield, Shin's head snapped toward them.
Two distinct chakra signatures, both unmistakable.
As his gaze fell upon them, he saw Uchiha Madara clad in battle armor, his six-magatama Rinnegan gleaming ominously. Behind him, Hashirama stood, his form radiating with Six Paths chakra, nine Truth-Seeking Orbs floating behind him.
Shin's lips curled into a grin.
"Heh… Hahaha!" His laughter echoed across the battlefield. "So, the Sage of Six Paths and that bastard Hamura sent you two as their pawns?"
He folded his arms, tilting his head at Madara. "Madara, I thought you were too stubborn to die, but it seems even you got thrown into the Pure Land like trash. Turns out, it was all the Sage's doing."
Then his gaze shifted to Hashirama. "And you… should I call you Grandpa? Are you really standing against me?"
Despite the situation, Shin showed no hostility—just genuine curiosity. For all his power, he still respected Hashirama. At the very least, he would listen.
Hashirama sighed heavily. "Listen, Shin… I have to stop you."
"Because of Kaguya's resurrection? I know."
His nonchalant response stunned both men into silence.
Madara narrowed his eyes. "You knew… and you still continued?"
Hashirama shook his head. "Then why, Shin? If you're aware of the consequences, why go through with this?"
Shin's eyes gleamed with something dark and unfathomable. "Because I want her to return. And because I need the God Tree to cast [Infinite Tsukuyomi]."
Madara scoffed. "So you plan to enslave humanity?"
"No, Madara. Unlike you, I have no intention of placing people into an eternal dream." Shin's smirk widened. "I will reshape their minds completely. The Infinite Tsukuyomi was flawed—it left people lost in illusions, detached from reality. My version will perfect them. I will rewrite their will. They will awaken as the people they were meant to be."
Madara's face darkened. He had once believed his dream would bring peace—but Shin's vision was beyond even his ruthless pragmatism.
Shin's voice was low, yet commanding. "So tell me… do you still want to be my enemy?"
A tense silence filled the battlefield.
And then, the fight began.
