Things were going very smoothly. Cedric Fisher felt that staying here wasn't much use anymore, and besides, the man of the house, Christopher Turner, wasn't home, so it didn't feel all that appropriate for him to hang around. He got up and said his goodbyes, ready to leave.
"Uncle Cedric! Are you heading back already?" Seeing Cedric Fisher looking like he was about to go, Lily Turner asked politely.
Cedric Fisher smiled and nodded. "I still have a meeting to attend."
There really was a meeting scheduled for this afternoon, but after getting that rescue-call from his son, he decisively rescheduled it for tomorrow morning.
Lily Turner and Sophia Wood had no idea about this. They thought Cedric Fisher really needed to rush back for his meeting. After all, he was the mayor of the city, definitely much busier than ordinary folks like them.
