"Let's go."
Before Thomas Fisher could say anything, Alice Turner was already heading toward the stairs, not caring whether he was following her or if he might be upset. She walked quickly, her pace unconsciously quickening.
Seeing this, Thomas immediately followed and caught up with Alice, who was already heading downstairs. Instinctively, he reached out to grab her hand but lowered his hand the moment he raised it.
They were outside, and he couldn't act impulsively.
He silently reminded himself to exercise restraint, or else their situation might become awkward, or even worse.
"Why are you walking so fast? I'm not a wolf, I can't eat you." He tilted his head to look at her. With a shy expression on her face, it was clear she was feeling embarrassed.
"If you were a wolf, I would have already beaten you to death." Alice turned her head and glared at him, then quickened her pace down the stairs.
