Easton Holmes took out the buzzing phone from his pocket, initially thinking it was his grandfather or someone from the Military Department calling. However, when he picked up the phone, he saw it was a call from Alice Turner.
He was momentarily stunned, then connected the call, "Hello!"
"Could you give the phone to Lily? I need to talk to her." Alice Turner's tone was very polite, almost cautious.
"Hold on!"
Easton Holmes moved the phone away from his ear and handed it to Lily Turner, "Your sister is looking for you."
With that, he placed the phone in her hand.
Lily Turner looked at the man handing her the phone with a puzzled expression, then put the phone to her ear, "Sis! You're looking for me, what's up?"
Her sister had just left from here not long ago; she calculated the time roughly, and at this moment, her sister should have just arrived home.
