Due to the little awkwardness that just happened, Alice Turner didn't reach out to take the glass of wine Thomas Fisher offered her. Out of courtesy, she smiled and declined, "Thank you! I'll pass, I still have to drive later."
Saying that, she politely pushed away the glass held in front of her.
Even if she were not driving, she still wouldn't drink. She knew her alcohol tolerance—two small glasses and she'd be drunk. She didn't want to make a fool of herself.
Besides, she didn't come here to drink. She came here to meet her sister.
"Alright then, we won't force you."
Thomas Fisher didn't insist on making Alice Turner drink. For some reason, being rejected didn't make him feel unhappy or angry at all.
