Evelyn Taylor suddenly spoke up, right after Easton Holmes had said something, causing Ryan Taylor's heart to skip a beat, and his grip on the wine glass unconsciously tightened.
"With such a beautiful lady like you, how could we possibly ignore you?" Thomas Fisher, being the lively one among them, had been especially active from the beginning and always so timely in his comments.
What others thought didn't matter to Evelyn Taylor; she cared about Easton Holmes's attitude towards her. However, she waited and waited but did not receive any response from him, and the unpleasant feeling in her heart was indescribable.
"Easton! Could you give me your glass of wine?"
Evelyn ignored Thomas Fisher's enthusiasm and turned to reach for the wine glass in Easton Holmes's hand, but her hand grasped nothing but air as he moved the glass aside before she could reach it.
