Rosalind felt stronger after taking the last portion of the medicine her brother had given her. There was a time she thought she would never get past her mother's death.
But now, she was standing again, trying to piece her life back together.
The pain in her heart had not left, though. It sat there, heavy and stubborn, reminding her that she would never see her mother again.
She tried not to think about it too much. Princess Katrina had told her days ago that their mother would not want them to put their lives on hold or drown in sadness. She would want them to keep living and find happiness. Rosalind held on to those words, even though they didn't stop the ache.
