"Princess Katrina is here," Rania said, wiping her tears with a piece of cloth. She stepped aside for me, and I glanced at Xavier, hoping to get a signal or a hint of what was going on. He just gave me a small smile, as if telling me everything was fine.
"Is anything wrong?" I asked gently, folding my hands in front of me.
"No… I was crying when he came to me, and he tried to say something to comfort me," the Princess replied. I nodded slowly. So Xavier could be that kind. That gentle. I knew almost nothing about him, except that he was the son of Devine, the stable man. But right now, he was more than that.
"That was kind of you," I said to Xavier, and he smiled at me again.
"He said he had some business with you," Rania said, looking at me with clear confusion. It was obvious he hadn't told her much. I nodded at her, then looked back at him. He really had a way of making someone's heart skip.
