An hour later, Delphine discreetly slipped into the hospital with Desmond Wood, avoiding unwanted attention.
Over the past few days, Jocelyn Yeager's recovery had been fairly smooth. Except for the cast on his right arm that couldn't be removed yet, everything else had basically healed.
"Delphine, I'm a bit hungry. Could you help me order some takeout?" The baby-faced man beamed brightly. After knowing her for just an hour, Desmond Wood had seamlessly transitioned from addressing her as Miss Gu to simply calling her Delphine. "I'll go have a chat with Uncle Yun."
Delphine, still dazed and upset from her encounter with Ignatius Leclair, nodded in agreement.
Desmond Wood entered the ward, shut the door, and locked the latch.
