Ignatius Leclair drove Delphine and the others to the hospital.
Delphine's injuries weren't too severe—mostly scrapes. The more serious issue was a fractured right arm, compounded by the emotional toll of her unstable Heart Realm, which made her internal injuries worse.
Ignatius personally oversaw the doctor conducting the paternity test for the two of them, and by the time everything was sorted, it was already dusk.
Beatrice Carter remained in the operating room under emergency rescue efforts. Other than Delphine visiting her, no one else from the Leclair Family kept her company.
Delphine ran back and forth between the operating room and the special care unit until Delphine finally woke up.
Father and daughter reunited, but Delphine was unusually composed.
"Originally, I wanted to find you and take mother's ashes back to her homeland together," Delphine said softly while sitting in the hospital room.
