"How about it? Want to bet?"
Nolan gritted his teeth: "Don't you regret it."
"It should be you who shouldn't regret," he said with a devilish smirk, walking aside to call Jane Quinlan on his phone.
The call connected quickly.
"How is it?"
"They're still resuscitating her; I don't know the details.
All I heard from Nolan was that she was unconscious when she was brought in."
Jane expressed her concern, "Miss Larkin isn't going to die, right?"
"I think there's hardly any chance of that happening."
Jane didn't know why he was so certain.
But what if something really did happen to her?
"Kay Forrest, I am serious when I tell you, this is no joke.
We cannot only consider the positive aspects, so wherever you are, don't be careless.
If something really happens to Miss Larkin, at least you won't regret it."
Kay knew Jane was probably a bit scared tonight.
He assured, "Ok, stop worrying; believe me, everything is fine here, you should rest."
