"Say something, Karina," he all but pleaded. "Anything, please." He needed to hear her thoughts and wanted to know if there was any chance she felt even a fraction of what he did.
Lady Karina wasn't sure what she should have said. Admitting anything remotely close to how he felt would mean she showed weakness and allowed him to take control of her.
