Chapter 20 - chapter 20

After arriving at the test site, Izuku observed the gathered candidates. Some appeared nervous, fidgeting anxiously as they glanced around, their quirks likely not suited for direct combat. Others stood with confidence, exuding an air of dominance, clearly possessing powerful quirks that made them sure of their chances.

Izuku, however, remained calm. His training, planning, and the power he now wielded ensured that this test was nothing more than a stepping stone. Tarry remained hidden in his shadow, silent and watchful.

Present Mic's voice boomed over the speakers.

"Alright, everyone! Get ready! The gates will open soon, and the test will begin! Remember, there's no countdown in a real battle—GO!"

At that moment, the gates swung open, and the candidates rushed inside. Izuku didn't hesitate. He activated One for All and vanished in a blur, leaving the other examinees behind as he charged into the battlefield.

Izuku tore through the robots like they were mere toys, his movements fluid and precise. Every strike shattered metal, sending wreckage flying across the battlefield. The other participants could only watch in awe, their confidence wavering as they realized just how powerful he was.

Meanwhile, in the control room, the UA teachers observed him closely. Aizawa narrowed his eyes. This kid is on a different level. Even Nezu, the principal, was intrigued.

"He's calculated everything," Nezu mused. "He's destroying just enough robots to secure a high score but slowing down to ensure others have a chance. Quite strategic."

Seeing that Izuku alone could wipe out most of the robots, the staff activated the reserve villain bots to balance the competition. More machines flooded the battlefield, and Izuku adapted instantly, dispatching them with ease.

Then, the true test began.

Present Mic flipped a switch, and with a deafening roar, the colossal Zero-Point robot emerged. The ground trembled as it marched forward, casting a massive shadow over the battlefield. Panic spread among the students, who scrambled to escape—except for one.

A girl was trapped under rubble.

Izuku's sharp eyes locked onto her immediately. Ochako Uraraka.

Without hesitation, he activated 20% of One for All. The air crackled around him as he launched forward like a cannonball. In an instant, he was above the giant robot. With a single devastating punch, his fist tore through the machine's skull. The impact sent shockwaves through the area, and within moments, the Zero-Pointer collapsed into a smoking heap.

Silence filled the battlefield.

The students stared in disbelief. Even the teachers watching from the control room were momentarily stunned.

"He took it down in one hit?" Midnight whispered.

"With precision and control," Aizawa added, impressed despite himself.

Izuku landed gracefully, dust swirling around him. Uraraka, who had been about to thank him, suddenly turned pale and vomited from overusing her Quirk before fainting

Without a word, Izuku picked her up and carried her to a safe spot. He set her down gently, then sat beside her, closing his eyes. To everyone else, it seemed like he was simply resting after an exhausting battle.

But in reality, he was meditating.

This wasn't even a warm-up for him. In just five months, he had mastered 50% of One for All. He had long surpassed the limits of any previous wielder.

More importantly, he had discovered something even greater—he could control All Might's thoughts and emotions through One for All, as well as share his energy with him.

But for now, he chose to do nothing.

He would let All Might continue being a hero.

At least, until the time was right.

After some time, Present Mic's voice echoed across the battlefield.

"The test is over!"

With that announcement, the tension in the air faded, and many students collapsed in exhaustion.

Shortly after, Recovery Girl arrived, making her way through the examinees, healing injuries with a quick peck of her lips. Meanwhile, two medical workers approached and carefully lifted Uraraka, taking her to the infirmary for further treatment.

Once everything was settled, Izuku silently turned and walked out of U.A., heading home.
