Chapter 4 - Saving Everyone

"What?!?" All the girls yelled.

"They were captured by Jayden," I told them. "So here's the plan. I'll go save them. You all protect the kids." I held up a hand to stop them from saying anything. "She's my sister. I'll deal with this." And I left.

It took me about an hour to find the warehouse and when I finally did, I snuck in. In the picture, it looked like everyone was in the basement. I jumped down from my hiding place and frowned. There were no cameras and no traps. Which just made me more cautious. I slipped toward the basement and down the stairs. I saw the Ninja and walked over to Lloyd and took off the tape. "Where's Jayden?" I asked.

"She left for right now. I don't think she expected you to come right away," Lloyd said.

"He's right," Wu said as I helped him free. "She expected you to take a while to create a plan. Not to rush headfirst into this." There was a disapproving look on his face.

"Hey, it's a good thing I did or something bad might have happened," I said defensively.

"I hate to say it, but she's right," Garmadon said.

"Thanks," I muttered at my father-in-law.

"You're welcome."

I rolled my eyes. "I was being sarcastic."

"Enough, you two," Misako said firmly.

"Well, well, well," a female voice drawled. "You came sooner than expected."

Lloyd tensed and moved me behind him. "Hey!" I yelped.

"You won't touch her," Lloyd growled, his tail whipping fast and his wings flexing.

Jayden smirked. "You know, just because you have a tail and wings doesn't make you stronger, dumbass."

Anger surged through me. "Don't call him that," I snapped. I stepped out from behind Lloyd and gave him a warning look when he tried to shove me behind him again. "You do not get to call my husband names. You can't just hate me because I was born. I never did anything to you. It was our parents who did. If I hadn't been a baby, I would have stopped our parents from getting rid of you."

She snorted. "Don't lie to me. You would have encouraged them to get rid of me."

"No, I wouldn't have," I growled angrily. "I am not a bad person. I help people when they need help." I inhaled deeply and forced myself to calm down. "Look, you said in your letter that you were happy that you were going to be a big sister. So why can't we just start over? Please. We can get to know each other better and be sisters."

She frowned. "You'd want to do that?"

"Yes."

She sighed. "Let me think about it." And she left.

I looked at the others. "Well, that went better than expected."
