Zara placed the food basket in the trunk and slid into the driver's seat. But no matter how many times she turned the key, the engine sputtered and died.
She groaned, slamming her hand against the steering wheel. "Ugh, seriously?"
She stepped out of her car, going to the front, but she didn't even know how to open the bonnet.
She hissed, hitting the tire with her black sneakers.
"I can't believe I am starting the day with bad luck." She mumbled, going back to carry her basket and the gift bags.
She ordered a ride which was four minutes away before struggling her way towards the estate gate.
By the time she got there, her ride was already waiting.
Finally a little bit of good luck.
She'd gotten the address from Ethan during their calls the previous night.
By 10:30 am, the taxi drove into the duplex apartment where Ethan lived.
Zara's eagle eyes scanned the area quickly.
It was a beautiful neighborhood and family friendly, so it was truly a good place for the kids.
