"Is that why you are worried about right now?" Ace asked, brows furrowed.
Zara bit her lip, dropping her gaze, "Please don't tell Zavier about this. I will tell him…"
Ace grabbed Zara's shoulders, "Zara, stop worrying about the least important things and tell me the truth."
"What truth do you want to hear? Because you sound like you already know more than enough!" Zara snapped back at him.
Ace grabbed her hand, pinning her to the wall, "Seriously, Zara. When are you going to stop putting yourself in dangerous situations and leave it to people who love and care for you to handle it? You knew you were dealing with a high profile case, how could you just keep it to yourself?"
Zara shoved him off, pulling away, "Maybe when those people that claim to love and care for me stop acting so goddamn confusing and annoying!"
He stepped back, breathing heavily. For a moment, neither of them spoke. The air between them felt like a storm barely held back.
