Nadia looked like a completely different person as her face tightened with anger.
Zara watched her curiously. "Ruined you? How?"
"I thought you two didn't even know each other."
Nadia looked at Zara, guilt swimming in her eyes. "Zara, please promise me you won't hate me after I tell you this."
"Hate you?" Zara raised a brow.
"Yeah. I was really going to tell you before now, but I never got the right time. You're the only friend I have. I don't want to lose you," Nadia added.
Zara rested her cheek on her palm for a moment, thinking. "As long as your hate for Gina is justified, I promise I won't hate you."
"Plus, you're the only friend I have too, Zara," she added softly.
Nadia sighed deeply, preparing herself. "Have you ever heard of the Bennetts' illegitimate child?"
"Yeah. Just a rumour," Zara replied. "It was something my friends spread back in high school after Gina stole my spot. I'm not exactly proud of those moments, but…"
