Hearing the loud voice reverberating through her head, Evelynn finally snapped out of her reverie from stealing the life force of the slimes in the field around her.
She had been so engrossed in her newfound power that she had lost herself. The power, especially with the help of the enhanced blue crystal, had her both beguiled and enthralled, engulfed in its potency.
Looking around, she saw that only a single slime remained, just a fingers breath away from one of her tendrils.
Looking closer, she saw that the slime was different from the others slimes of the field.
"Dandelion!" she yelled out in shock as she saw what she had been about to do.
Running towards her small companion and quickly retracting her ability, she fell down to her knees in front of it.
Picking Dandelion up with shaking hands, she cradled it in her arms as tremors ran through her body.
