After failing to find a way through three times, Neil Lennon decided to try his luck on his own. He passed to McNamara, hoping the full-back would return the ball to him, but Lampard had anticipated the move. He stepped in from behind and intercepted it cleanly.
Without hesitation, Lampard carried the ball towards the left before finding Pirlo. Pirlo took one touch to control it, then immediately looked across the pitch.
A diagonal pass followed. The ball travelled quickly towards the right, where Ronaldinho had drifted into space completely unmarked.
Ronaldinho met it effortlessly and, with barely a pause, sent a long pass forward. Ronaldo had already begun his run from inside the box. He timed his movement perfectly, meeting the ball with his head and directing it towards the left.
Henry was already accelerating. He surged forward, timing his run to perfection as he brushed past Boyd and moved into the space behind the Celtic defence. The ball dropped in front of him.
