Chi finds himself journeying deeply into the Void. Despite the pure blackness, as one of the aspects, he is expected to easily see through such. And that he does.
Dodging past the remnants of universes long consumed, around the uncontained lost ones, and through the territories of other aspects. Chi does this all to meet with the Void itself. Not just the space, not just the darkness, the true being of nothingness.
He feels it the instant he comes to the territory of nothingness. Despite being able to see through darkness, nothingness is something wholly different.
"You." A deep voice resonates through what feels like the entire realm of existence. "A lowly aspect tasked with observing." It speaks slowly. "Why have you left such alone?"
Chi bows as he can in the space. "I bring to you the tools of that universe's guardian." Chi summons the brush, orb, and scroll, holding them as tribute.
The space clears enough to see what is speaking. It is a true amalgam of things. Not just creatures, not just objects, but reality itself folds against it. Thousands of hands grasping at strings, hundreds of heads looking in all directions, dozens of planets that feed material into a black hole that makes its lower body. The Void, the being before existence.
It's very movements instilled with thoughtlessness, its faces deny emotion. It's hands grasp with the force enough to collapse even the mightiest of stars. The black hole radiating a blackness so potent, not even Chi, a being of partial void, can even begin to see more than an inch deep. As much as it is the being before existence, it shall be the being that ends existence once more. The entity that shall rule all of reality. Chi thinks as all beings touched by the void think. The Void, an entity of pure beauty in it's simple mission of erasure.
The amalgam stops for but a moment as a smaller body emerges from the black hole, one a perfect copy of Chi. "You bring me tools." It's voice echoes all around Chi. "Open the scroll."
Chi opens the scroll within a heartbeat. Within it, it reads every law ever made for the universe of Eta. It unfurls and unfurls until it reaches the very first law ever written, 'The Void has no place in this universe.'
"Good." The Void grasps the scroll as it is reduced to nothing. "A simple riddle, one that can be solved with one action."
"My Master?" Chi looks up to the Void. "How might you claim that universe now?"
"One who has lost their touch of void. One who follows with no reason." It floats to Chi's left. "Are you to be such? Lowly aspect." It reaches down and takes the other tools as they are destroyed as well.
"My Master, I am to be whatever you require me to be." Chi looks down once more, his body tensing.
"Tell me my aspect. Why do you follow nothingness?" It moves to his right.
"The original weave of existence was nonexistence. I wish to bring back that which was first just as we all do." Chi calls out, fervor oozing in each word.
It grabs his face and pulls him towards the real body. "No my aspect, you say what you think I expect you to say. Tell me your reason of existence now. Why did you choose this path over all others."
Chi glances to the Void's true form, every face turned to him, every hand pointing. "I chose this because of hate. I hate all that is real, all that is physical, all that exists. It failed me so many times. People, things, the gods themselves. I do this because I want it all gone, I chose this for revenge."
The Void releases his face. "How utterly boring. Yet that is what must exist within you to willingly choose nothingness."
It summons another body from the amalgam, one that holds a crown in its hands. "To enter that universe, I must first remove your nature as an Aspect of myself." It places the black crown on Chi's head. "You will need to kill the being that rules over the universe, take its tools and cross out the first law. After you succeed, I shall make you an avatar until a true Avatar is made known."
Chi loses his void nature as the crown seeps into his being, returning him his original form. He becomes that of a living flame. One that burns all it touches, even illuminating the Void enough to see a silhouette without being a partial void. Shackles appear that once bound Chi, now used to define his form to that of a giant.
"First, I shall take out the peeping eyes in the darkness." The amalgam grasps it's hands as the strings warp and tug. "The eyesore of existence that had lived outside of that universe shall be silenced. All those stars shall be snuffed."
Something then causes the amalgam to look with all its heads opposite Eta's universe. "An annoyance has realized something has happened. The foul dragon is making it's way to that universe." It creates one more fake body, one that carries a pitch black sword. "My Aspect, you must succeed before that accursed dragon arrives."
Chi looks down, "What dragon? Am I worthy to ask such a question?"
The figure holding the sword places it in Chi's fiery hand, it grows to fit perfectly in his hand. "One of the first nine existences. The Primordial Dragon whom only an Avatar may match it."
"Why now?"
The amalgam calls back the three fake bodies and speaks once more in the resonating voice. "The dragon is to interfere at all turns, now that a plan has been made, it is destine to oppose it. The most aggravating piece of existence is that even I am subject to fate." It wraps Chi in a few of the strings. "Go my Aspect. Reclaim mine birth place. Reclaim that which now houses a part of existence, bring it back to nonexistence."
Chi is sent across the strings to the universe of Eta. Crossing through the realms of the other aspects, illuminating the darkness like a herald of light. Each and every aspect look to the living flame, first in disgust, then in reverence as they see the pitch black blade. He sails through the darkness as it's keeper despite his own form rejecting it
Soon, he will arrive not as an observer. Nay, he shall be a Conqueror.
