"Success!"
Kaguya looked at the changes on the altar and revealed a faint, satisfied smile.
Hearing this, Sasuke immediately jumped onto the altar. He first glanced at Toneri, who had collapsed unconscious on the ground, then turned his gaze to Naruto.
"Naruto, how do you feel?"
Naruto clenched his fists slightly, feeling the surging power within his body. He slowly opened his eyes and said in a deep voice, "Not bad. I can clearly feel that the part of my strength that was missing has been filled in."
Sasuke nodded and finally let out a breath he did not realize he had been holding. "That's good."
Kaguya walked over to Toneri and slowly squatted down beside him. Black Zetsu emerged from her sleeve, stretched his head forward, sniffed around Toneri for a moment, then looked up at Kaguya.
"Mom, he's not dead."
Kaguya smiled knowingly. "Then it proves that the method I designed back then is completely feasible."
Black Zetsu immediately praised her proudly, "As expected of you, Mom!"
Naruto saw Toneri lying motionless on the ground and hurried over. He squatted down, checked Toneri's condition carefully, and finally relaxed.
"It's fine… he's fine."
Kaguya looked up at Naruto and said calmly, "Naruto, this isn't over yet. You still need to transplant his eyes."
Naruto frowned slightly and said, "I already have the Rinnegan. Do I still need to transplant his Byakugan?"
Kaguya nodded seriously. "Yes. In fact, the true dōjutsu of the Ōtsutsuki clan is the Byakugan. The Rinnegan itself is a mutation born from the Byakugan."
"Only the Byakugan can give rise to other higher-level eyes. And Toneri's eyes are not ordinary Byakugan. You should already understand this."
Naruto looked at Kaguya in surprise, then sighed in realization. "So you already knew."
"Of course," Kaguya replied calmly.
Naruto took a deep breath. Once an arrow leaves the bow, there is no turning back. He understood this very well.
He raised his hand and gently placed it on Toneri's body, transferring some chakra to help stabilize his condition. After a short while, Toneri slowly opened his eyes.
"…Naruto? What happened? Am I… finished?"
Toneri looked confused and weak.
Naruto helped him sit up and said with a forced smile, "Yeah, Toneri. I'm sorry. You've really suffered because of me."
Toneri smiled faintly. "It's fine. I'm still alive, aren't I?"
Naruto saw how pale and exhausted Toneri looked and wanted to say something, but the words stuck in his throat. His expression became awkward.
Sasuke, seeing Naruto hesitate like this, sighed silently and stepped forward.
"Toneri, it's not over yet," Sasuke said directly. "Kaguya says Naruto still needs to transplant your eyes."
"Sasuke!" Naruto glared at him sharply.
Toneri looked at Naruto's embarrassed expression, then glanced at Kaguya. Kaguya nodded slightly and said, "That's right. Toneri, your eyes are very important to Naruto."
Toneri was silent for a moment, then smiled gently. "It's fine, Naruto. You restored my eyes before and even helped me awaken the Tenseigan. Now it's my turn to help you."
Naruto's eyes instantly turned red.
"Toneri… thank you."
Sasuke shook his head helplessly. "Alright, what are we waiting for? Let's go."
Sasuke opened a space-time portal with his Rinnegan, and the group returned to the ninja world.
After returning, Naruto immediately summoned Orochimaru to handle the eye transplant.
At Naruto's current level, he could theoretically remove and replace dōjutsu directly using chakra. However, Toneri's bloodline chakra had just been absorbed, and his body was extremely weak.
To ensure safety, surgery was still the best option.
In the operating room, Orochimaru and Kabuto had already made preparations.
Kabuto looked at Naruto with an almost fanatical gaze, as if he were looking at the ultimate masterpiece of art.
"Naruto," Kabuto said excitedly, "you've done what I always wanted to do."
He spoke with genuine emotion. "Back then, I was just like this—constantly searching for powerful things, transplanting them onto myself, trying to find the true self through strength. I almost turned myself into a monster."
"And now, you've accomplished what I could never truly complete."
"In a way, you've proven that my theory wasn't entirely wrong."
Orochimaru also laughed softly. Just like Kabuto, his interest in Naruto's transformation and this operation was obvious.
Kabuto wanted to see how far Naruto could go. Orochimaru wanted to see what kind of scenery Naruto would eventually reach.
"Let's begin," Naruto said calmly.
He lay down on the operating table, took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
Kabuto nodded and stepped aside. Orochimaru personally took charge of the operation.
Toneri was given anesthesia. Naruto, however, refused it.
"There's no need," Naruto said. "Once Toneri's eyes are removed, I can implant them directly. My chakra can heal the damage instantly."
Everything was prepared.
Sasuke and Kaguya stood silently to the side, watching.
The procedure was simple but profound: remove one of Naruto's Rinnegan and replace it with one of Toneri's Byakugan.
As for the extra Rinnegan, it could not be transplanted to Toneri.
Toneri's Ōtsutsuki bloodline power had already been absorbed. He was now no different from an ordinary human. Even if he received a Rinnegan, he would not be able to control it.
Once the transplant was complete, Naruto immediately sat up.
At his level, dōjutsu did not need time to adapt.
Kaguya walked up to Naruto, gently raised his hand, and said, "Now, feel the power of the Byakugan."
Naruto nodded and infused chakra into his new eye.
In the next instant, Naruto's Byakugan opened, releasing a brilliant white glow that illuminated the room.
Sasuke widened his eyes in shock. "What… is this?"
Orochimaru and Kabuto were equally stunned, their faces filled with excitement.
"A completely new power…"
Kaguya smiled faintly. "This is the so-called Tenseigan."
With Toneri's power fully transferred and his bloodline absorbed, Naruto had completed the final piece of Kaguya's bloodline legacy.
"Naruto," Kaguya said with relief, "now you can merge with the Outer Path Demonic Statue."
She continued calmly, "The method is simple. Use the same process you used on Toneri—absorb my chakra."
Black Zetsu immediately panicked. "Mom! No, you can't!"
Naruto looked at Kaguya in shock.
Kaguya smiled gently. "For me, being an ordinary person has always been a luxury."
"My fate was decided the moment I was born. I was meant to become a guardian, to travel the stars, to plant God Trees, and to be sacrificed."
"I hated it. I resisted it. That's why I attacked Isshiki. That's why I fell in love with a human and tried to live an ordinary life."
She took a deep breath and looked directly at Naruto.
"Naruto, you understand my intentions."
Naruto nodded slowly. "Yes… I understand."
Black Zetsu trembled. "Mom… why must you do this?!"
Kaguya turned to Naruto. "Naruto, I have one request."
"You name it," Naruto replied immediately.
"Spare Black Zetsu. He is part of my consciousness. If his chakra is absorbed, he will truly die."
Black Zetsu cried out in despair. "No! Mom, I'll go with you! Absorb me too!"
Kaguya glared at him sharply. "Toneri's case proves that my bloodline can be absorbed without death. If you are absorbed as well, I will survive—but you won't."
Black Zetsu froze.
Yes.
His mother would still exist… but he would disappear completely.
For the first time in his long existence, Black Zetsu truly understood fear.
