On the Moon
Toneri Ōtsutsuki had already sensed Naruto approaching from afar. By the time Naruto descended onto the lunar surface, Toneri was standing there waiting for him.
"Naruto," Toneri said as he looked him over from head to toe, unable to hide the admiration in his eyes, "it seems you've become much stronger."
Naruto smiled faintly and nodded. "Yeah. Much stronger than before. I don't really have a choice. If I want to defeat the Ōtsutsuki clan, I have to keep moving forward."
Toneri nodded in understanding, then asked calmly, "So, Naruto, why did you come to see me this time?"
Naruto took a deep breath. This was not an easy thing to say. But for the future of the ninja world, he knew he had to speak.
"Toneri… I may need your strength."
Toneri smiled without hesitation. "If it's to defeat the Ōtsutsuki clan, then of course I'm willing to stand with you and fight by your side."

Naruto looked at Toneri, deeply moved.
"Toneri… I'm sorry."

Kaguya walked over. When she saw Toneri standing beside Naruto, she immediately understood everything.
"So," she said calmly, "you've made up your mind."
Toneri smiled at Kaguya. "It is my duty to protect the world our ancestors left behind."
Naruto frowned slightly and looked at Kaguya. "Do we really have to do what the Ōtsutsuki clan does? Absorb living beings, turn them into Chakra Fruits, and then devour them?"
Kaguya looked at Naruto for a long moment before smiling faintly. "You… still haven't fully made up your mind, have you?"
Naruto sighed deeply. "I just feel that it's too cruel. Once I take that step, I don't know what kind of existence I'll become."
Seeing Naruto hesitate like this, Kaguya's expression turned cold.
"There is another way," she said slowly.
Naruto's eyes widened instantly. "What way?"
Before Kaguya could finish her sentence, Naruto interrupted her.
Kaguya replied flatly, "Go to my space—the altar we visited last time."
Sasuke frowned. "Why go there?"
Kaguya explained, "The true purpose of that altar is to absorb the chakra of Ōtsutsuki who are about to descend upon this world. That is why I carved runes corresponding to each of them."
Naruto thought for a moment and frowned. "But Toneri doesn't have horns."
Kaguya glanced at Toneri. "We'll understand once we get there."
Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a look. Without another word, Sasuke activated his Rinnegan and opened a space-time portal.
With a whoosh, the space twisted open.
Naruto returned briefly to explain the situation, then brought Kaguya and Toneri through the portal. Sasuke followed closely behind.
The Altar Space
They appeared once more before the ancient altar.
Kaguya stepped forward and selected the rune corresponding to Momoshiki's horn. She then turned to Naruto.
"Naruto. Break it."
Though he did not fully understand her intent, Naruto trusted her. He raised his hand and smashed the rune.
Boom!
The stone shattered. Then, astonishingly, the fragments rearranged themselves, forming a new, smooth stone slab—this time with no markings at all.
"Toneri," Kaguya said, "come here and drip a drop of your blood."
Toneri stepped forward and did as instructed. The moment his blood touched the stone, it glowed red, and an unfamiliar pattern slowly emerged.
Naruto stared in shock. "What is this?"
Kaguya explained, "Ōtsutsuki branch members like Toneri do not possess horns. Instead, they are identified by blood."
Toneri found this fascinating, as it was his first time witnessing such a mechanism.
"Naruto," Kaguya said, "come here."
Naruto stepped onto the altar. Kaguya motioned for Toneri to stand on the opposite side.
Standing beside Naruto, Kaguya said solemnly, "Next, I will teach you a method to absorb another person's chakra."
"This method relies on the Rinnegan, but I cannot guarantee success. Whether it works or not… depends entirely on you."
Naruto's Rinnegan widened slightly. "What do you mean? You haven't used this method yourself?"
Kaguya replied expressionlessly, "I created this method to absorb the chakra of invading Ōtsutsuki. But at the time, there were no Ōtsutsuki to experiment on."
"I couldn't use my own sons as test subjects. So this method was never tried."
Hearing this, Naruto's heart sank.
After all this… he was still the first experiment.
Forget it, Naruto thought. Trying is better than doing nothing.
Once Naruto was ready, Kaguya explained the entire process in detail. After finishing, she stepped down from the altar and stood beside Sasuke.
On the altar, Naruto and Toneri faced each other across the glowing rune.

The altar erupted with blinding light. Naruto's Rinnegan began spinning violently.
"Come!"
Naruto roared.
Instantly, Toneri's body was enveloped by an unseen force. Streams of red chakra were forcibly drawn from his body.
Toneri screamed in pain.
Naruto's heart trembled, and his absorption instinctively slowed.
"Don't stop!" Kaguya shouted coldly. "Once you begin, you must not hesitate!"
Naruto gritted his teeth and forced himself to continue.
As Toneri screamed, his chakra was rapidly extracted, forming dense crimson chakra masses that poured into Naruto's body.
Naruto felt his power surge explosively. His body underwent subtle but profound changes.
Sasuke observed carefully with his dōjutsu and exclaimed, "This… it worked?"
The light faded.
Toneri collapsed unconscious onto the altar.
Naruto closed his eyes, standing motionless, silently feeling the transformation within himself.
The experiment… had succeeded.
