Naruto was thrilled to learn that he could design his own house layout.
"Okay, I want this!" he said immediately, excitement shining in his eyes.
The real estate agent smiled as Naruto eagerly confirmed the service.
Hinata, standing beside him, asked with a gentle smile, "You already have the house you want in mind, don't you?"
Naruto nodded, turning to her. "Yeah. Just design it like the house we lived in before."
Hinata understood at once.
He meant the house they'd shared together in their previous life — the same one that had been destroyed. From the way he said it, it was clear Naruto had no interest in any other kind of house.
Knowing his true feelings, Hinata smiled softly and nodded her full support.
Under the agent's arrangement, they soon met with a professional designer.
The designer first led Naruto and Hinata into a model room filled with small-scale examples of Konoha-style homes. He then asked Naruto to explain what he wanted.
So Naruto began describing the old home in detail — the layout, the size of each room, even the decoration style.
He remembered every inch of it vividly, from the way sunlight fell into the living room in the morning to the creak of the wooden stairs.
The designer listened carefully, sketching as Naruto spoke. Occasionally, Naruto would take the pencil himself, drawing rough outlines to show what he meant. The designer would then refine it on the spot, checking every little detail with him.
They talked for hours. By the time they finished, Naruto's throat was dry and his voice hoarse, but the general design was finally complete.
The designer smiled and said, "All right, Naruto-san. We'll create a small 3D model based on this layout for you to review. Once you confirm it's perfect, we can move on to selecting the land and start construction."
Naruto nodded, satisfied. "Got it. Let's do it that way."
The designer shook hands with him. "Then it's settled."
Just as they finished, the real estate agent came back to review the plans. He quickly estimated the house's building area, then looked at Naruto and said, "Naruto, perfect timing! How about I treat you two to a meal first? After that, I'll take you to see some available land plots."
Naruto blinked. "Didn't the designer say we'd choose the land after finalizing the house model?"
The agent chuckled and waved his hand. "That's fine! You've already decided the basic size. You've got free time now, right? We can look at some plots first, pick out a few you like. Once the model is ready tomorrow, we can move straight to construction!"
Hinata smiled and nodded. "That's true. Let's not waste time."
Seeing Hinata agree, Naruto smiled. "All right, let's go then. I've got nothing planned this afternoon anyway."
The agent beamed. "Great! Let's get some food first — my treat."
After a simple but filling meal (paid for by the ever-enthusiastic agent), they set out to tour the available plots around Konoha.
Some were open fields, some were recently cleared demolition sites, and others had old buildings that could easily be torn down and rebuilt.
The agent showed them each location carefully, explaining the advantages of every area. The sizes matched the house design Naruto had described.
By the time they finished the tour, the sun was already setting. Even though both Naruto and Hinata were ninja — used to long missions and travel — they were still tired after walking the entire day.
The agent, however, looked as energetic as ever.
Naruto looked at him, a bit impressed. "Brother, are you even human? You're not tired at all?"
The agent laughed. "This is part of the job! I walk half the village every day showing properties. My body's used to it!"
Naruto grinned and gave him a thumbs-up. "Respect!"
After they said their goodbyes, Naruto and Hinata returned home.
When they entered, the smell of dinner filled the air. Kushina was in the kitchen, cooking, while Minato helped unpack groceries.
Hinata joined Kushina to help with the cooking.
"So," Kushina asked with a knowing smile, "how did it go today? Did you find anything you liked?"
As she washed vegetables beside her, Hinata smiled. "We looked around a lot, but in the end, Naruto decided to design the house himself and have it built from scratch."
Out in the living room, Minato overheard the conversation and smiled proudly. "Naruto has his own ideas. That's a good thing. It's always better to live in a place designed the way you like it."
Naruto nodded. "Yeah. The main reason is that the house from my previous life was really comfortable. I couldn't find anything like it this time, so I'd rather build one myself."
Hearing that, both Minato and Kushina turned toward him and smiled approvingly.
"Very good," Minato said warmly. "That's how a man should think."
"Exactly," Kushina added proudly. "You've grown up, Naruto."
That evening, they all had dinner together.
Afterward, Minato and Kushina prepared to go shopping again.
Seeing this, Naruto quickly grabbed his mother's arm. "Mom, don't go out tonight. Just stay home!"
Kushina blinked, then narrowed her eyes suspiciously. She pulled her arm free and glared at him.
"Hinata!" she called loudly toward Naruto's room, ignoring him completely. "Your father and I are going out for a bit! We'll be back later!"
Hinata came out of the room, smiling. "Okay, Mom."
Kushina smiled back at her daughter-in-law — then turned to glare playfully at her son before dragging Minato out the door.
Bang!
The door slammed shut behind them.
Naruto stared at it blankly. "They seriously did that on purpose…"
Hinata giggled softly and wrapped her arm around his. "Come on, Naruto. Let's go."
Naruto sighed helplessly. There's no escaping this, huh?
He decided to give up resisting and just accept his fate.
Meanwhile, inside Naruto's mindscape, in the land of his soul, Kurama — the Nine-Tails — looked up as the surroundings darkened again. His massive tails swayed, and he snorted.
"Here we go again…" the great fox muttered gruffly.
The next day.
Naruto and Hinata returned to the real estate office.
The agent greeted them with a bright smile, holding the completed miniature house model. But when he looked at Naruto's face — especially the dark circles under his eyes — he froze.
"Naruto… you didn't sleep well last night?"
Naruto waved his hand, trying to act casual. "No… I'm fine."
The agent glanced between Hinata (whose cheeks were still faintly red) and Naruto, who looked half-dead, and couldn't help smirking awkwardly.
"Naruto, take care of yourself, all right?" he said in a meaningful tone.
Naruto blinked, confused for a moment — then realized what the man meant.
Oh crap… I didn't reestablish contact with Kurama last night!
He had completely forgotten to reconnect after cutting off his link to the Nine-Tails.
"Ah, damn it," he muttered under his breath. No wonder I feel drained.
Closing his eyes for a second, Naruto focused his mind.
"Kurama, lend me some chakra."
Inside the mindscape, the Nine-Tails didn't even lift his head. He just snorted coldly.
"Tch. You want chakra from me after cutting me off all night? You've got some nerve, brat."
Still, after a few moments, the red chakra flared up around Naruto, and his energy quickly returned.
When he opened his eyes again, he looked completely refreshed.
The agent, startled by the sudden change, blinked. "Huh? You look fine now."
Hinata smiled faintly, knowing exactly what had happened.
Naruto grinned. "Yeah, I'm feeling good now!"
The agent gave a nervous laugh, still amazed by Naruto's recovery speed. As expected of the Hero of the Hidden Leaf… incredible stamina.
Hinata, pretending not to notice the implication, asked, "So, what do you think of the model, Naruto?"
Naruto, still misunderstanding her question, said with a confident smile, "It feels great! I feel really good!"
Hinata sweat-dropped. "I meant the house, Naruto."
"Oh—right!" He coughed awkwardly, turning his attention to the model in front of them.
It was perfect — exactly as he had described, every room, every corridor, every detail.
Naruto nodded in approval. "Not bad! It's great!"
The agent smiled. "Wonderful. Then shall we move to construction? Would you prefer we complete it all at once or have the workers build it gradually?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "You can build it all at once?"
The agent took out a brochure and handed it to them. "Of course! Take a look — this is our special 'instant completion' option. It's handled by our top construction specialist — someone who uses Wood Release to create homes instantly."
Naruto and Hinata leaned in to look. The moment they saw the name written on the leaflet, their eyes widened.
