Chapter 503 - Chapter 503: Returning

Nagato and Naruto returned from breakfast together.

Under the tower, Yahiko and Konan emerged hand in hand. The morning sun reflected off the rooftops of Amegakure, bathing the two in a warm, golden glow. They were laughing softly to each other — unmistakably happy.

"Hey! Senior Sister Konan! Senior Brother Yahiko!" Naruto called out cheerfully.

When Konan saw Nagato and Naruto approaching, she instinctively let go of Yahiko's hand. But Yahiko only chuckled, boldly taking her hand again.

"They're all family," he said with an easy smile. "Why be shy?"

Naruto grinned. "Congratulations, Senior Sister Konan, Senior Brother Yahiko! Don't forget to invite me to the wedding banquet!"

"Hahaha! Don't worry, junior brother," Yahiko replied with his usual enthusiasm. "You'll be the first I call!"

Naruto nodded and then added, "By the way, Senior Brother Yahiko, Senior Sister Konan, Nagato — I'll be heading back now. Please tell those kids to train hard and grow stronger! I'll visit again soon!"

Nagato placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder. "Don't worry. As their principal, I'll keep a close eye on their progress. Oh — and Naruto, when Jiraiya-sensei's wedding happens, can I bring the students along? They were upset when they couldn't attend yours."

Naruto smiled. "Of course! I'll use the Flying Thunder God Technique to pick you all up directly from Amegakure."

Nagato shook his head. "No, no. Let me know three days in advance. I'll bring them myself. They've spent most of their lives here — I want them to see the world beyond our village. The journey itself will be a lesson."

Naruto nodded thoughtfully. "You're right. Traveling and seeing the world — that's part of a shinobi's growth."

"Good," Nagato said with a satisfied smile. "Then it's settled."

With another round of farewells, Naruto raised his hand, focused his chakra, and vanished in a flash of golden light.

After he left, Nagato turned toward Yahiko and Konan, a gentle smile on his face. Then, quietly, he walked back toward the tower.

Yahiko called after him, "Oi, Nagato! Where are you off to?"

Nagato paused at the steps and turned, smiling. "Back to my room. I need to grab the students' records before heading to the academy."

"Ah, I see. Did you eat already?" Yahiko asked.

Nagato chuckled. "What do you think? Naruto and I just came back from breakfast. You two slept in, so we let you be. I'll be busy for a while!"

As he entered the tower, Nagato's expression softened. He was genuinely happy for his friends.

Back when they were children — three war orphans wandering through the Land of Rain — Yahiko had always been the brave one, Konan the gentle caretaker, and Nagato the quiet observer.

He still remembered the day Jiraiya-sensei had asked him what his dream for the future was. Little Nagato had replied earnestly,

"I want to protect Yahiko and Konan."

Now, seeing them finally together, Nagato's heart felt light.

Konoha Village

With a whoosh, a bright flash of golden light filled the study room of the Uzumaki household — and Naruto appeared.

Before he could even call out, Hinata came rushing in, her Byakugan-sensitive intuition having caught his chakra signature.

"Na–Naruto! You're back!" she said, smiling brightly.

"Haha! Hinata!" Naruto laughed, catching her in a warm embrace. They held each other for a few seconds before Hinata shyly pulled away.

"M–Mom and Dad are in the living room," she whispered with flushed cheeks.

Naruto scratched the back of his head. "Oh — right…"

In the living room, Kushina and Minato sat together on the sofa.

When Naruto and Hinata stepped in hand-in-hand, Kushina immediately got up.

"Naruto, have you eaten?" she asked in her usual motherly tone.

"I had breakfast at Amegakure," Naruto replied with a grin. "Not hungry at all."

Kushina crossed her arms. "That's fine, but honestly — you just got married and already ran off on your own! Poor Hinata was here alone!"

Hinata hurriedly came to his defense. "Mom, Naruto had something important to take care of."

Kushina gave Hinata a light tap on the forehead. "You're too sweet to him!"

Still, her eyes softened. Seeing her son and daughter-in-law happy together made her heart swell with joy.

Minato smiled warmly. "Naruto, the gifts are all ready. It's time to visit the Hyuga house today."

Naruto blinked. "Ah — right! The return visit after the wedding!"

Kushina mock-scowled, lightly bonking Naruto on the head. "You really forgot something this important? Come on — take the gifts and bring Hinata home!"

"Hahaha, yes, ma'am!" Naruto said, rubbing his head and laughing.

He gathered the neatly wrapped gifts while Hinata offered to help. "Let me carry something, Naruto-kun."

But Naruto shook his head. "No way, Hinata. I've got this."

The two walked out together, hand in hand, smiling at each other.

Inside, Kushina sighed happily. "Ahh… Naruto's so lucky to have a wife like Hinata."

Minato nodded. "She's perfect for him. A kind heart, strong spirit — reminds me a bit of you, actually."

Kushina shot him a teasing glare. "You just love flattering me."

Minato grinned. "It worked back then, didn't it?"

Kushina snorted but smiled, turning back inside while Minato chuckled to himself and closed the door.

At the Hyuga Compound

Naruto stood before the grand wooden gates of the Hyuga Clan compound, carrying gifts in both hands. Hinata stood beside him, her eyes soft with nostalgia.

"Hinata," Naruto said with a grin, "remember the first time we stood here together?"

Hinata nodded, smiling gently. "I remember. It was snowing that night. You walked me home and said you envied me for having such a big house."

Naruto chuckled. "Yeah. I never imagined that one day, this would be my home too."

Hinata smiled brightly, slipping her arm through his. "Come on — let's go home."

Knock, knock, knock.

The gate opened to reveal a young Hyuga clansman, who immediately froze in surprise. "L–Lady Hinata! Lord Naruto—oh, sorry—Lord Seventh!"

Hinata giggled softly, and Naruto just waved it off good-naturedly. Together they stepped inside.

Within seconds, the entire compound seemed to come alive — servants and family members calling out:

"Lady Hinata and Lord Naruto have arrived!"

Moments later, Hanabi came running, shouting joyfully, "Sister!"

She threw her arms around Hinata, who laughed and hugged her back.

Naruto handed the gifts to a clan attendant just as Hyuga Hiashi and Hyuga Hizashi approached from the side courtyard.

"Hinata, Naruto — welcome home," Hiashi said warmly, smiling in a rare moment of open affection.

Naruto bowed slightly. "Father-in-law."

Hizashi stepped forward, grinning. "Congratulations on your wedding, both of you."

"Thank you, Uncle Hizashi," Naruto and Hinata said together.

Hiashi gestured for them to sit. "Come, Naruto, have some tea while we prepare dinner."

Naruto nodded and sat comfortably. As servants brought tea, Hinata started to sit beside him — but Hanabi tugged her hand mischievously.

"Big Sister, come to the backyard! I need to talk to you!"

Hinata gave Naruto an apologetic smile and followed Hanabi.

Left alone with Hiashi and Hizashi, Naruto chatted politely. They discussed the academy, the new Hokage's duties, and village life. To his relief, Hiashi seemed pleased — and Naruto could sense genuine warmth beneath the older man's calm demeanor.

Guess he really has accepted me now, Naruto thought happily.

In Hinata's Room

Hanabi closed the door behind them, grinning playfully. "So, sister… how does it feel being married? Being a Hyuga daughter-in-law now?"

Hinata's cheeks flushed pink. "I'm… very happy to be married to Naruto-kun," she said softly.

Hanabi leaned in close, whispering with a mischievous smirk. "Oh really? And… how did that feel?"

Hinata blinked. "Huh?"

"You know," Hanabi said with exaggerated innocence, "that part! I read that it's supposed to hurt a little at first but then feel amazing!"

"Ha–Hanabi!" Hinata gasped, turning scarlet. "W–Where did you learn that kind of thing?!"

Hanabi giggled. "Books! I found one in the village market. Look!"

She darted to a cabinet and pulled out a manga, proudly showing it to her sister. "See? It says right here — it'll hurt at first, but then you'll get used to it!"

Hinata's eyes widened as she recognized the title — Intimate Paradise: Illustrated Edition.
