Chapter 307 - Chapter 307: Six Paths Obito Is Injured

A sharp hissing sound echoed through the battlefield.

Tobirama turned toward Naruto, eyes narrowed, as he noticed the black Truth-Seeking Orbs floating ominously above Minato. "The black orbs didn't follow Obito," Tobirama said. "That means we managed to hit him without giving him time to defend with his Truth-Seeking Balls. Naruto, your Sage Jutsu must've been effective!"

No sooner had he spoken than all the orbs suspended in front of Minato shot outward, streaking toward Obito.

Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan remained active, allowing him to clearly see the fluctuations in Obito's chakra. Naruto, tapping into his enhanced sensory perception, was also tracking it.

With a distinct buzzing noise, the black orbs reached Obito. He quickly wrapped himself in the orbs, jumping into the air. The orbs expanded outward, surrounding his body. Then, activating the power of his Rinnegan, Obito expelled the scorching black Amaterasu flames clinging to him.

Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, Obito looked down, eyes narrowed in fury.

Tobirama observed him intently and noticed wounds etched by wind chakra all across Obito's body. A rare smile curved his lips. "Naruto, you were right. Sage Jutsu does have an effect on him!"

Minato's eyes lit up. "Then let's keep the pressure on!"

Naruto grinned. "Obviously! But Jiraiya-sensei, hold back for now!"

Sensing something off, Obito abruptly turned around, spinning the black staff of the Six Paths in his right hand to form a circular shield.

"Sage Art: Needle Jizō!"

Without anyone noticing, Jiraiya had slipped behind Obito. In a flash, his hair extended and hardened into countless needle-like projectiles, launching toward Obito.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Obito blocked the barrage with the Six Paths Staff, deflecting the assault. But just then, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, moved in.

"Come on then! Let me get a piece of you!"

Wielding the transformed Enma—the Adamantine Staff—Hiruzen struck downward with immense force. The colossal golden cudgel crashed toward Obito.

Obito clicked his tongue and extended his left palm. One of the Truth-Seeking Orbs flew into his hand, reshaping itself into a circular shield as a void-like hole opened in the center of his palm.

Boom!

The adamantine staff collided violently with the black shield, the force of the impact creating shockwaves across the battlefield.

Naruto burst forward. "Now! Don't give Obito a moment to catch his breath!"

Following his lead, Tobirama, Minato, and Sasuke all sprang into action.

Naruto jumped high into the air, forming a massive Rasengan.

"Sage Art: Big Ball Rasengan!"

With a powerful whirl, Naruto hurled the glowing Rasengan straight at Obito's head.

Frowning, Obito leapt upward to evade it. He couldn't afford to take that kind of hit directly.

But Minato and Tobirama had already anticipated his movement. The moment Obito rose, his eyes locked onto a familiar object spinning midair—a special kunai marked with the Flying Thunder God seal.

Sure enough, with a flicker of space-time, Minato teleported directly to the kunai.

"I was never great at Sage Mode," Minato said, "but I've had to get good at it!"

"Sage Mode—Activate!"

In an instant, Minato entered Sage Mode. Simultaneously, he unleashed the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. A giant chakra hand formed, and Minato clapped his hands together before striking downward with lethal precision.

"Obito! You're not escaping this time!"

Obito growled in frustration, knowing that the upper angle was compromised. He had no choice but to shift backward.

Too late.

Tobirama flashed in behind him again, his reanimated body moving fluidly. He placed his hand against Obito's back once more.

"Didn't expect me again, huh, Obito?" Tobirama sneered. "Naruto, you know what to do!"

Naruto yelled, "Of course I do!"

"Mutually Instantaneous Revolving Technique!"

With a hum of energy, Naruto and Tobirama instantly swapped positions. Obito barely had time to react.

BOOM!

Naruto's Big Ball Rasengan smashed into Obito's back with devastating force.

"Aaaaaaaagh!"

Just like the first time Naruto hit him, a massive crater opened in Obito's back, the spinning chakra tearing through his flesh.

Blood streamed from the corner of Obito's mouth as he screamed in pain. "Naruto, you bastard...!"

Naruto shouted back, voice full of righteous fury, "I'm the bastard?! You're the one who turned this world upside down—who betrayed your friends and became a monster!"

The Rasengan carried Obito downward, crashing him into the ground.

On another front, Sasuke wasn't about to be left behind.

"Jūgo!"

"On it!" Jūgo called, leaping into Sasuke's Susanoo. As he fused into the avatar, the Curse Mark spread from Jūgo's body and overlaid the Susanoo's armor with natural energy.

Sasuke smirked. "So this is the power of Sage Energy... huh. Let's see how you handle this!"

Drawing his bow, Sasuke nocked an arrow coated in Black Flames from Amaterasu, aimed directly at Obito.

Obito's body, slammed from the sky by Naruto's Rasengan, hit the ground hard with a deafening crash, kicking up a vast cloud of dust.

Sasuke shouted, "Naruto! Move!"

Naruto immediately jumped back, landing on solid ground a safe distance away.

Satisfied, Sasuke released the arrow.

"Die."

The flaming arrow streaked through the air—but then…

Clang!

The arrow was deflected, bouncing off a hastily formed Truth-Seeking Orb.

"Damn it!" Sasuke growled, narrowing his eyes.

Obito rose again from the dust cloud, breathing heavily, blood trickling from his mouth. Yet his eyes still burned with twisted conviction.

He looked straight at Naruto. "You really are something... Even after I became the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki and awakened the power of the Sage of Six Paths, you still find ways to wound me."

Naruto folded his arms and snorted. "Appreciate it, I guess."

Minato stepped forward. "Obito... Stop this. You once dreamed of becoming Hokage. Have you forgotten the promise you made to Rin?"

Obito's gaze hardened. "Minato-sensei… You have no right to bring up Rin in front of me. You were the Yellow Flash, the fastest shinobi in the world—but when it truly mattered, you weren't there!"

"I wore a mask. I stood before you. I fought you. And yet you never realized it was me. And now, with the mask gone, you suddenly want to lecture me?"

He spat blood on the ground.

"You're too late."

Minato said nothing at first. Guilt pierced him deeply. He had failed—he hadn't been there when Obito fell into darkness.

Jiraiya appeared beside Minato, placing a firm hand on his shoulder.

"Minato, no shinobi can avoid regret. But a shinobi's worth is decided at death, not in their mistakes."

"You protected the village. You passed your will on to Naruto. That's more than enough."

Minato turned toward his teacher, emotion flickering in his eyes. "Jiraiya-sensei…"

Obito scoffed. "You keep saying you tried. But your absence is what led Rin to die—by Kakashi's hand. You think that's forgivable?"

"This world is full of lies."

As Obito's voice deepened, a red aura began to emanate from him. Tobirama instantly noticed.

"Everyone, be careful! He's getting ready for something... He might be setting up a trap!"

Naruto nodded. "Got it."

But Obito shook his head. "No, Naruto. You don't get it."

He floated down to the earth, kneeling as he placed his hands on the ground.

"It's almost time... for the Infinite Tsukuyomi."

RUMBLE.

The ground split as a colossal tree erupted from the earth—the beginning of the God Tree's transformation.

Its massive trunk twisted upward, and from it bloomed four enormous trumpet-shaped flowers.

Obito slowly rose into the air, hovering above everyone.

"This world... is finished. There's nothing left worth saving."

As the God Tree expanded, the four blossoms began to condense Tailed Beast Bombs at their center—ready to unleash destruction across the battlefield.
