Madara was furious.
In his eyes, throughout the entire shinobi world, only Hashirama Senju had ever been worthy of standing on equal ground with him. But now, Hashirama had claimed that Madara wasn't good enough anymore—that if he truly fought seriously, he could quickly subdue him.
That was an unbearable insult.
"Hashirama!" Madara roared. "Come out and fight me!"
Hashirama turned to Naruto and said, "Naruto, someone has to deal with Madara. It's time I settled this once and for all."
With those words, he clasped his hands into a seal. "Madara… let's fight!"
Madara immediately activated his Susanoo and shouted back, "Good! Let's see if you can defeat me this time! Don't you dare hold back!"
Hashirama performed a hand sign, and the colossal wooden statue of the Senpō: Mokujin no Jutsu (Sage Art: Wood Golem Technique) erupted from the earth behind him.
"You said it yourself, Madara. Don't blame me when I go all out!"
He leapt onto the Wood Golem as it surged forward, following Madara to a nearby battlefield. The two ancient titans clashed once more.
Meanwhile, Tobirama had already engaged Obito, but in just a few seconds, all of his shadow clones had been obliterated.
Tobirama was forced to retreat. The Third Hokage, Hiruzen, followed close behind.
Tobirama teleported near Naruto using his Flying Thunder God technique and glanced in Hashirama's direction with concern.
"Naruto," Tobirama said, "didn't you say Madara might have something planned against my brother? I should go assist him, just in case."
Naruto shook his head. "It's fine for now. Obito has already become the Jinchūriki of the Ten Tails. Madara can't resurrect himself yet, so he can't use the Rinnegan to create black receivers to suppress First Hokage-sama. Let them fight one-on-one for now—it'll be okay."
Tobirama nodded. "Understood. Then I'll focus on analyzing Obito's new abilities."
Nearby, Obito had grabbed Hiruzen by the face and slammed him down. A moment later, a pitch-black sphere launched from the hole in Obito's palm like a high-speed projectile.
Seeing this, Minato instantly activated Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique) and teleported Hiruzen to safety.
With a flash, Hiruzen reappeared beside Minato. "Minato, thank you!"
"Third Hokage-sama, stay focused. I'll provide support from the side," Minato said calmly.
Hiruzen nodded, then turned to Tobirama. "Nidaime, that black sphere can morph into different forms—it became a rod just now and now a bullet. It's dangerous!"
Tobirama's expression was serious. "Its offensive versatility is high, but there seems to be a time constraint. I'll test further."
He hurled another kunai marked with his jutsu formula. Obito intercepted it, but Tobirama smirked.
"Got you. Flying Thunder God Slash!"
With a sudden shimmer, Tobirama appeared behind Obito and slashed with the kunai—but the Truth-Seeking Orbs had already formed a defensive shield. With a metallic clang, the kunai shattered.
Tobirama frowned. "So, those black orbs can be used defensively too."
"Watch out, Nidaime!" Hiruzen shouted.
Tobirama turned, only to see one of the orbs morphing into a black rod mid-air, shooting toward him. It pierced through him, blowing off a massive chunk of his torso.
Tobirama growled through the pain. "Fast… but I'm not just some pushover. Try this, Obito!"
Hiruzen narrowed his eyes. "It's the Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags technique…"
Minato smiled. "As expected of Nidaime. Even while being attacked, he still managed to plant a marker."
Tobirama reached into his chest cavity, pulled something out, and raised it to the sky. "Explode!"
A series of consecutive detonations erupted around Obito as Tobirama used the marked tags to summon clone after clone, setting off an unrelenting chain of explosions.
The battlefield was engulfed in smoke and fire. Everyone turned to look.
"Did it work?" Minato asked, eyes narrowing.
Sasuke activated his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and peered through the smoke. His expression darkened. "No good… It didn't do any real damage."
As the smoke cleared, Obito was revealed unharmed, encased within a spherical barrier formed from the Gudōdama—the Truth-Seeking Balls.
Tobirama gritted his teeth. "Naruto, you were right. Nothing but Sage Jutsu seems to damage him."
Naruto nodded. "Aside from Sage Techniques, Taijutsu-based physical attacks still work too."
Just then, a green blur flashed across the battlefield.
"Then it's time for me to shine!" shouted Might Guy, skidding to a stop. "The Blue Beast of Konoha is here!"
Rock Lee appeared behind him. "Gai-sensei! I'm coming too! Let's show our youth together!"
Naruto stepped in. "Hang back for now, Lee. Gai-sensei, we might need you soon—be ready."
Kakashi approached. "Naruto, let me join the fight. Obito was once my teammate. I have to do this—this is my duty. I'll bring him back or die trying."
Naruto looked at Kakashi. Even with only one eye left, Kakashi's determination was as strong as ever. It didn't matter who the enemy was—Kakashi always fought with everything he had.
Suddenly, Obito screamed in agony.
"AHHH!!!"
He clutched his head and began convulsing, trembling violently. His expression was twisted with pain as he screamed toward the sky, his mind fractured.
"What's happening to him?" Minato asked, his brows furrowing.
Jiraiya, standing nearby, clasped his hands. "Whatever it is, it's our chance. We should strike while he's unstable. Naruto, what do you say? My Sage Mode is almost recharged."
Naruto nodded. His eyes opened again, revealing orange pigmentation around them. "Sage Mode activated. Let's do this!"
Minato entered Sage Mode beside him. "Alright. Synchronize our attacks!"
Sasuke looked around and shouted, "Jūgo! Where's Jūgo!?"
"Sasuke-kun, I'm here!" Jūgo called out.
"Come here, now!"
As Jūgo sprinted over, Karin followed excitedly. Suigetsu yanked her back, annoyed.
"Seriously? He called Jūgo, not you."
Karin pouted. "But I can heal Sasuke-kun! If he gets hurt, he can bite me, and I'll restore his chakra. When he sinks his teeth into my arm… ahhh…"
Her face flushed as she slipped into a lustful daydream. An almost erotic expression clouded her face.
Suigetsu gave her a disgusted side glance. "This woman… something's wrong with her brain."
Jūgo reached Sasuke. "What do you need?"
Sasuke replied, "I'll need to use your Cursed Seal's power during the next phase of battle."
Jūgo nodded. "Understood."
Suddenly, Obito's body began to expand unnaturally. His upper torso stretched grotesquely, separating from the lower half and elongating like a snake's body.
Sasuke scowled. "This looks like something Orochimaru would do."
Naruto grimaced and began forming a Rasengan, infusing it with natural energy.
Then, just as he remembered from his past life, Obito's upper half burrowed into the ground like a serpent. But thanks to Sage Mode's sensory abilities, Naruto tracked his movement and anticipated the ambush.
With pinpoint timing, he leapt into the air and slammed a Senpō: Ōdama Rasengan (Sage Art: Big Ball Rasengan) directly into Obito's emerging head.
"Get out of here!"
Tobirama's gaze sharpened. As expected, Sage Techniques were working. The Rasengan ground against Obito's body, tearing into him. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
Finally, a technique had managed to injure the Ten Tails' Jinchūriki.
