Chapter 303 - Chapter 303: Ten Tails Jinchūriki

Obito let out a cold snort and took a deep breath. The time had come—he was ready to awaken.

On Madara's side, he immediately formed a hand seal. Bang! Bang! Bang! In a flash, six Shadow Clones appeared around him, each radiating overwhelming chakra. Without hesitation, all of them summoned their Susanoo, surrounding the battlefield in a dazzling storm of armored destruction.

"Hashirama!" Madara roared. "Come out and fight me again. Our grudge is far from settled!"

Hashirama was about to leap forward when Tobirama quickly blocked him. "Brother, don't go. Didn't you hear what Naruto said? Madara's just trying to draw you out. He wants your body—for Edo Tensei or something worse. If you go now, you're falling right into his trap!"

Hiruzen added firmly, "Yes, First Hokage-sama. Stay back—we can manage the battlefield. Minato, prepare to move out with me."

Minato gave a firm nod. "Understood, Third Hokage-sama."

Jiraiya called out, "Naruto! Let's handle Madara. Minato and Kakashi can lead the team to deal with Obito. You and Killer Bee—head for the Ten Tails and try to shut this down!"

Naruto turned his gaze to Obito, eyes narrowing as he recognized the hand seal Obito was forming.

"Everyone, hold your positions! Focus on Madara for now!"

Minato and Kakashi were already preparing to move when Naruto's warning halted them in their tracks.

"Why, Naruto?" Kakashi asked urgently. "What are you seeing?"

Naruto frowned, analyzing Obito's chakra pattern. "That seal... I remember it well. I honestly didn't think Madara would actually go through with it. Looks like something really has changed in this life."

As Naruto spoke, Obito completed the seal, his thoughts surging with desperate resolve. Rin... I'm going to create a world where we can be together again!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Obito's blood-curdling scream echoed across the battlefield. Every shinobi turned their gaze to him.

Minato's face darkened. "Naruto! What is he doing?!"

Naruto shouted, "Everyone, fall back—now!"

At HQ, Yamanaka Inoichi was drenched in sweat. "Ten Tails' chakra is surging wildly! It's condensing into something... it's fusing!"

Nara Shikaku's brows furrowed. "No good. Something terrible's coming."

And sure enough—on the battlefield, the Ten Tails let out a ghastly screech as its entire mass began flowing into Obito's body like a whirlpool of pure malice.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

Obito screamed in agony as the chakra engulfed him completely.

Naruto shouted again, "Retreat—NOW!"

Killer Bee's eyes widened. "Yo, Naruto! Is this what I think it is?!"

Naruto nodded grimly. "Yes. Obito is becoming the Ten Tails' Jinchūriki!"

Gyūki's voice boomed in Bee's head. "Dammit! We should've stopped him when we had the chance!"

Kurama grunted inside Naruto's mind. "Tch... It's no use crying over it now. Get ready—we're in for hell."

At HQ, Shikaku relayed the command. "All units—retreat immediately! This is not a drill!"

The Five Kage, present at the battlefield, began coordinating the mass withdrawal.

Naruto had anticipated this scenario. Unlike in his previous life, the dynamics were different now. Obito and Madara had openly cooperated—this transformation wasn't a last resort, but a calculated strategy.

And that made it even more dangerous.

There was no guarantee that Obito would be able to control the Ten Tails' power immediately. If he went berserk, the resulting devastation would wipe out countless shinobi. Naruto had to act fast—but he was also calculating.

There was something he needed to test.

In this timeline, Naruto had steadily guided the shinobi world to avoid its worst disasters. But now, for the first time, he felt the rhythm slipping from his control.

Why didn't he stop Obito?

Because Naruto wanted to see—would the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, appear again?

Back in his previous life, Hagoromo said his presence was temporary, that he had passed on for good. But Naruto still wanted to gamble. The Sage's return could change everything. There were things Naruto needed to ask—answers only the Sage could give.

So he allowed Madara and Obito's plan to progress, just like in the original timeline.

But he wasn't going in blind. Naruto had all the enemy's battle data stored in his memory. His current strength was leagues beyond his past self—if things turned dangerous, he had the means to counter and maybe even save Obito.

Besides, he still had a trump card he hadn't played yet.

After his rebirth, Naruto had carefully developed multiple contingency plans for Obito. If it came down to a fight, could he still break through Obito's hatred like before?

It seemed unlikely. Naruto was no longer the naive, idealistic boy he used to be. He was colder, more calculating now—less driven by hope, more by necessity. That loss of light might make it impossible for Obito to relate to him the same way.

So just in case, Naruto had secretly instructed Orochimaru to investigate something. It had taken time... until Kabuto joined forces and uncovered a key detail.

Naruto gazed at Obito, now fully transformed into the Ten Tails' Jinchūriki, a ghost of a smirk on his lips.

Obito... you say Rin and Kakashi made you lose faith in this world. But your actions speak otherwise.

No one would've guessed it—but after Rin's death, Obito had secretly recovered her body and preserved it with near-perfect techniques. He kept her in stasis all these years—never using Rinne Rebirth to revive her.

Why?

Kabuto discovered the truth when Obito had approached him for help maintaining the body. Obito wasn't a medic—he needed assistance keeping Rin's body intact.

The corpse was hidden in a secret chamber beneath an old Akatsuki base.

Naruto had pieced it together. Whenever Obito disappeared, he was likely spending time in that chamber—lost in a world of delusion and guilt.

Now, as the transformation neared completion, Naruto gave Orochimaru a subtle nod. Orochimaru understood and vanished into the shadows with Kabuto, heading straight for that secret chamber.

Back on the battlefield, the Ten Tails' chakra had completely fused into Obito. A radiant sphere of energy enveloped him, then cracked open like an egg.

The new Ten Tails Jinchūriki—Ōbito Uchiha—emerged.

He stretched out his hand and slowly brushed away the light veil covering his face. Crystalline feathers of light fluttered from his body as his white cloak rippled in the wind.

He hovered, god-like, above the battlefield.

Madara's eyes narrowed. "Hmph. So, you went through with it, brat. Took what was mine."

He turned to Hashirama. "Give it up. The Ten Tails Jinchūriki is akin to the Sage of Six Paths. Against that level of power, your resistance is meaningless."

Hashirama glared back and formed a seal. "Sage Art: Gate of the Great God!" (Senpō: Myōjinmon!)

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Over a dozen massive torii gates dropped from the sky, stacking upon each other and slamming Obito down mid-air.

A cheer rose from the Allied Shinobi Forces.

"The God of Shinobi is unbeatable!"

"Haha! Even if he's the Ten Tails' Jinchūriki, he's still suppressed!"

"Yeah! We've got this!"

Even the Five Kage looked briefly encouraged.

Madara, however, remained calm. Naruto muttered, "It won't hold. The Myōjinmon can't suppress him now—not with the power of the Ten Tails flowing through his veins."

And sure enough, the wooden gates began to creak, then crack!—shattering into splinters.

Tobirama's eyes widened. "Impossible... That seal held the Ten Tails before!"

Hiruzen looked to Naruto. "What now, Naruto?"

Naruto's voice rang out across the battlefield. "All shinobi capable of using Sage Jutsu—gather here now! Those who can't, retreat behind the defensive perimeter immediately!"

He turned to HQ. "Shikaku-san, relay the order. If anyone disobeys, treat it as defiance of a direct command during wartime!"
