The potentials all varied in shape and size and scars and eyes. There were some who were ten sizes taller than Lautaro, some who were closer to the ground than their own shoes. But Lautaro could sense that all of them could handle themselves in a fight.
Some of them even had some weapons, there was a guy with chains, a girl with a wooden sword and a relatively short person with brass knuckles.
They all crowded around the desk where Lautaro and Salvey were stationed.
"So you all came here to beat a part of my crew, right? This is how you enter. Since there are alot of you how about we shorten the numbers? Battle Royale. I'll explain the rules."
"So each of you will find a space for yourselves in this huge gym, it's even bigger because my assistant and I cleared out the benches, and you will wait until I countdown to zero and start the fight. First rule. Don't kill nobody, I don't want to clean their bodies up and I also just don't want anybody to die in here. Second, if you make the cut you pledge your undying loyalty to me, which means you join the group chat my assistant made and I'm pretty sure that's it, anyway have fun."
The contestants did as they were told and evenly divided themselves in the gym space. Lautaro started the countdown and once he hit zero he smiled as carnage came.
All the people in the gym brawled. There was a particularly big and shirtless guy who was attacked from all sides and managed to shrug it off and defeat his attackers. There was blood that flew through the air. There were screams and howls that could be heard from miles away.
There was a black haired boy with a black hoodie and grey sweatpants who kept breaking his opponent's ankles, arms and legs using Jiu-jitsu. There was a boxer who was wearing boxing gloves and still kept knocking out his opponents.
A girl with bright pink hair and a wooden sword was instantly underestimated and that was a brutal mistake even Lautaro frowned at.
'If you see a girl with bright pink hair and a wooden sword and you underestimate them you're just side character fodder.'
Lautaro glanced around and rested his eyes upon a boy with a grey hoodie, grey hair and even grey sweatpants. He had sat in the corner for minutes now and done nothing but watch. Then when the boy saw Lautaro glaring at him, he stood up.
For a brief second, the boy's hair stopped clouding his eyes. And Lautaro saw he had grey eyes as well. He gave a brief smile to Lautaro then walked calmly to the battlefield and performed.
He walked up to the girl that Lautaro had claimed wasn't a "side character" and he stood in front of her. Her sword was kept at her back carelessly. They gazed into each other's eyes and saw each other for who they were.
The boy was slightly taller than her and she was about 5 feet and 10 inches. He looked down upon her with an indifferent expression, then he lunged like an angry beast. There was only pain in his eyes and it was not his. He kind of reminded Lautaro of Alto and that kid was the kind of creepy you'd question what he did before he got into the White Room.
The girl swung her wooden sword at the boy, but he expected that and used his palms of both his hands to break the sword. Grey hoodie guy then used the broken wooden sword to stab the girl in her stomach. Lautaro didn't look too worried as he had purposely made the stab shallow, the girl didn't scream as she was stabbed and Lautaro gave praise for that.
Salvey escorted the girl into the equipment room, cleansed her wound and then bandaged her up. Meanwhile, the all-out brawl had stopped to watch and it seemed that the all grey man didn't like that. He attacked everyone in the vicinity.
The first poor victim was a short boy with glasses and brown hair. He was wearing a school uniform that quickly turned red as the all grey man kicked him in his calf flipping him into the air. He turned over in the sky, the more he spun ungracefully the more he became disoriented. A blood-curdling scream rang out throughout the entire gym as the mysterious man in grey stabbed the boy in the school uniform right in the hand, then he charged into the wall throwing him off the bloody wooden bits.
Lautaro put his hands on his head in shock. What had just happened? Salvey picked up the pace of carrying the injured because of the boy in grey.
Then there was another victim. A girl who was slashed across the chest. A shallow cut as well. One could see he was holding back which made the rampage all the more terrifying.
Victim after victim, defeat after defeat they all fell. There were now about 120 people left. A group formed to take down the boy in grey. A first man charged. The boy threw up the makeshift wooden stake and they both engaged in combat.
The man who charged fought with the boy. Their blows evenly countering each other. The man tried to aim for the boy's face but he caught the fist and broke his finger. The man screamed and just as he was stunned by the pain the prodigy executed a bicycle kick, first kicking the man in the chin, knocking him out. Then kicking the wooden stage right into another attacker's leg.
5 men charged at once. He took them out with miraculous precision. He first slashed at an assailant in the chest with the stake and blocked his punch and knocked him out with a single blow.
The next was a girl who was briefly defeated by doing a double kick, one to her liver and the other to her nose, then he put both feet together and kicked her into the wall. During that, he had let the stake fall from his grip.
Blood sprayed as he just continued reducing the numbers and increasing the speed of Salvey's rescue. Salvey was running out of breath because of the amount of dodging, rescuing and carrying he had to do.
He then kicked the already airborne stake at another poor man who decided that teaming up on him was the best option. The stake pierced through the flesh in the man's thigh, he screamed, Salvey repeated the process, he sighed at the constant work he had to do.
Meanwhile, Lautaro was geeked. The boy looked like a special agent sent on a mission. Only to find out that his best friend betrayed him and killed his squad and his wife for the bonus points. Then he goes on a crazy revenge arc to kill his old friend.
Lautaro was yelling out random things in excitement. Whilst Salvey was constantly panting because of the number of bodies that kept flowing in.
The last two of the teaming attackers came at two different angles. The boy in all grey then pushed off the ground, did a split kick and knocked out the final two teamers.
"Oh snap! He is not playing games."
Lautaro screamed out from the sidelines as the numbers dwindled.
The boy in grey wasn't bothered by anyone and he didn't bother anyone. He had already proven himself to everyone in the gym. He had shown his ruthlessness and utter strength. Anyone who dared to challenge him was a fool. But sometimes one needs to be a fool to prove oneself.
A boy with shaggy brown hair, a handsome face and keen eyes. Walked up to the boy in grey. He had long eyelashes and was wearing what someone would wear to the beach. He had a black tank top and beach-themed shorts. He also wore blue rubber sandals.
Lautaro hadn't seen him fight the entire time but he was hopeful to see what he could do. He then spoke Lautaro could hear him clearly because the number of people yelling had died down.
"What are you doing sitting down. Stand up and fight me right now."
The boy didn't reply and instead focused his eyes in a threatening manner. Yet the brown haired boy showed no fear.
Whilst the boy in grey sat against the wall the brown haired boy kicked his head. The attack was blocked with his fist. He then looked up at him and gave a quick and polite smile, as to accept his challenge.
The boy in grey grabbed the foot of the boy from the beach and knocked him off balance, forcing him to put his hands against the wall. Using the power from his legs he jumped up and landed a powerful uppercut right into the brown haired boy's stomach.
Yet something strange happened, the brown haired boy felt nothing from the strong attack. Then the brown haired boy used his knee and sent it flying into his face, then extended his leg and kicked him in his stomach.
The boy in grey felt the pain as his eyes widened, he bled from his nose as he grabbed onto the leg of the boy from the beach.
"Are you gonna try to break my leg. Well you can't, stupid."
The boy said nothing and held on tight. The brown haired boy waited for him to make a move but the grey one performed a miracle. He used his strength from his leg, jumped up and twisted in the air to slam the brown haired boy into the wall with devastating force.
Lautaro put his hands over his head again, this was the most entertaining fight he had seen by far.
They both clashed, their hands rapid as they pierced through the air at each other with laser precision. Each punch countered by the other, each kick parried with a simple hand movement. There was this one time were they both did the exact sequence of moves and ended up in a clash both of them using their legs to try to aim for each other's head.
Whilst both legs clashed in the air. The boy with the brown hair jumped up using his other leg and executed a series of lethal kicks, each strike performed could be from infinite angles. Even if his opponent dodged one there was always another angle that they hadn't accounted for.
The brown haired boy was a master of perfection, able to anticipate his opponents' dodges, parries or counters and shut them down. He was truly a prodigy.
But the boy in grey did not yield or even slow down. When the brown haired boy threw a punch he countered using the same move Lautaro used against Macell. Brown haired boy was floating through the air like an astronaut in the vast expanse of space.
Yet the brown haired boy had predicted this and twisted his body in the air to fall with both fists locked, he then used his fists to try to do a brutal downslam. Yet the boy in grey was a step ahead as he had expected this and used the stake which he hadn't used for the whole of the fight and put it so that if the brown haired boy did the downslam, gravity would take his neck into the stake.
Lautaro got up from his chair when he saw that, one of his little rules was almost broken and it wasn't even a hard one to follow. Lautaro also didn't want a prodigy like that to die and not join his crew.
But the brown haired boy quickly reacted and pushed off the all grey's shoulder. He soared through the air vulnerably.
The boy in grey took his chance hit the brown haired prodigy countless times and left a stake in his arm. The brown haired prodigy cursed and he charged at the boy in grey.
Instead of attacking he flipped over him and ripped off a piece of cloth from his hoodie. He then took the stake out and stopped the blood from flowing with the piece of cloth.
The boy in grey looked pissed. He charged at the prodigy like a beast. But each blow was parried but still pushed him back. Until a dropkick was delivered and the prodigy was sent flying into a shirtless man with tied up hair.
The prodigy was instantly stopped by the huge body of the muscled man. He pushed off him ready to get back to the fight but the man hit him with a heavy fist that sent him flying.
"Chill out man. I ain't even tryna go for you."
It seemed as if the man didn't listen. The huge man tries to follow it up by dashing and throwing a punch, while the boy in grey aimed for the prodigy as well, but the prodigy back flipped over the man and scrambled his brains by kicking him with a spear kick at the same time that the boy in all grey hit the huge man.
"So you both are teaming against me?"
"Nah, you're just unlucky."
The man seemed to have ignored the brown haired boy's words.
"I see. Now you will both pay."
This was now a three-way battle. Lautaro was jumping for joy on his table he could not believe his eyes. It seemed as if all three of them were at 120% of their potential. Lautaro was barking and acting like a monkey.
Salvey cleared out some of the bodies from the other fights and they were now at about 100 people left. Lautaro could stop the game here but he needed to see this fight, he also had a special plan he wanted to see through.
Then it began. All three of the strongest in the room charged at each other. Lautaro grabbed Salvey and shook him intensely as he was that excited. Salvey was considering just punching Lautaro in the face because of how tired he was.
