After what felt like a few hours, she finally woke up. Granted, she did seem a little pissy now that she recalled that a certain someone had knocked her out.
Despite that, she went ahead and rose to her feet, dusted herself off, then narrowed her eyes at William, who exhaled in relief.
"Here I thought I had accidentally killed you. You dumbass... Don't ever attack me like that again," he said.
And yet, Eve just pouted, her cheeks puffing up like a chipmunk's.
"You knocked me out."
Pausing, she glared even more fiercely.
"How dare you knock your wife out?"
Instead of replying, William turned to Rael.
"Help me out here. Didn't you knock Lilith out once as well?"
Rael recalled, then shook his head. The two had fought a few times, but not to the extent of knocking each other out. They were gentle fighters.
"Sorry, but I can't help on that one. You're on your own, bud."
