"Lilith?" Rael called out, getting her attention.
She turned to him and nodded, waiting for him to speak, and so he did:
"I was thinking of bringing her back... Or do you think that's a little disrespectful?"
"Bringing my mother back? As in, back to life?" Lilith repeated, confused.
That was exactly what he meant, and she knew that too. Deep down, she did want her back, but she also knew that messing with the dead too much would be problematic. What would she even say if her mom were to come back for real?
These thoughts continued to plague her, and they only really stopped when she realized that if her mom was watching her from somewhere, she probably didn't want to come back either.
It may have been a warped perspective, but she felt like it was the right one. So in the end, she told him exactly that, and while Rael did see that she wanted more than what she was saying, he respected her opinion for the time being.
Though...
