As that thought dawned on him and he relayed it to Beatrice, she stared at him speechlessly.
"There's no way... right?" she bit her nails. "She would've said something. I'm sure of it..."
Rael didn't believe it for a second, and after giving Beatrice one last side-eye, he opened his status screen, and then...

After he pressed "Yes," his body began to glow. He went through the same sensations as last time, except when he reached out for one of the arms, he didn't end up in the ocean.
Instead, he was back on the beach, with Evelyn still tanning. Just this time, the other girls were gone, it was only her.
"Oh? You made it out safely, I see," Evelyn said nonchalantly. "So who won? It was my sister, right?"
"You made us sit around doing nothing for a month straight... and for what?" Rael asked with a sigh, sitting down beside her. "You know how close we were to destroying that dimension of yours?"
