It's the day of the wedding Roberto was furious. He has searched for Ariana but he couldn't find her. All she could do was to give him a piece of envelope with a letter in it.
"Why didn't she tell me where she was going to? Why.... Why didn't she confide in me? And on our wedding day. Today's supposed to be my wedding day..... Our wedding day and she runs off to God knows where?" Roberto asked in fury.
"Roberto you need to come down, she must have a logical explanation for this. I mean none of this would solve anything" Samantha said.
"At least she would have told me what was happening. All she gave me was a letter... A fucking letter telling me that she was going for something and when she return we'll have the wedding. Who the fuck does she think she is? If she didn't want to marry me, she would have just said it. And to think..... Oh shit!!" Roberto yells.
"Berto, calm the fuck down okay... Well from what I've heard Or rather what I've been Informed, is that they aren't in their apartment. They were last seen leaving the building and they haven't returned since" Antonio said.
"I don't understand it.... I just don't understand it.... Where could she be? Where could she have gone? All this started when she got that phone call. I knew there was something off. I knew there was something fishy when Melissa refused to tell me what the problem was"
"I shouldn't have believed them when they said everything was fine. I should have stayed, I should have asked why she was acting weird. The last thing I remembered was talking to her by the door"
"Telling her that my father asked me to accompany him to the company for some charity gala. I should have known that something was up, I should have told my father that I wasn't going. I should have told him I needed to be with my future wife.... god damnit.... Oh I fucked up" Roberto said
"Why would she do this to me? Why would she just up and leave me like this and on our wedding day? Roberto asked.
"Look we can have the wedding some other time okay.... We could reschedule... We could postpone it but right now we need to find Ariana" Augustine said.
"Why... Why... why... would she leave me? Why didn't she confide in me?" Roberto asked.
"I got a text from Melissa saying that she and Ariana has something they needed to take care of and they'll be back before you know it and once they get back you'll have the wedding" Antonio said.
"What could be so important? What could be so important that made them disappear out of the blue? What could be so important that she had to leave me at the altar?" Roberto asked in anger.
"Her friend..... Is missing" Olivia said from outside. "Which friend?" Antonio asked.
"Sunny. My employee, I haven't seen her for three days now. I remember they stopped by my shop the afternoon Ariana received that call. I noticed that they looked panicked, like they knew something bad had already happened"
"They left and now putting two and two together, I feel like they've gone to find their friend. It seems to me that they know where she is, so they've gone to get her. Just relax they'll be back" Olivia said.
"Sunny's.... Missing?" Alejandra asked in surprise. "Yeah" Olivia replied.
"No wonder, I should have known something was fishy the very moment Melissa brought Sofia over for holiday. I should have known that she was up to something. Those girls are really clever indeed, they managed to outsmart an entire Mafia family. I think they got away with it" Abuela said with a smile.
"Don't worry Abuela, They'll be back I'm sure of it" Antonio said.
Later that night, Roberto sat in the living room. Arturo joined him shortly after. "I've got the information you requested for boss" Arturo said.
"Let me hear it" Roberto said in exhaustion. "I was able to check the security footage from the airport and I didn't see them. I mean I went through the list of people who boarded the plane that day but their names weren't included. I didn't see anything that says Ariana and Melissa boarded a plane" Arturo said.
"Hmm, So you suggest that they're still in Mexico? Roberto asked. "It could be possible but where exactly could they be?" Arturo asked
"Arturo do me a favor. Find Ariana no matter the cost, I don't care how long it takes. I don't care how long you have to find her just find her and bring her back" Roberto said.
"Yes boss" Arturo said before leaving.
Antonio entered the room. He found Roberto sitting like a kicked puppy. "What's up with you man?" Antonio asked.
"I still can't find her" Roberto said. "Wait you're still worked up about this chick? Weren't you the one who said you didn't love her?" Antonio asked.
"To be honest I don't know why I'm so worked up about this. I feel so empty now that she's gone. I'm losing my mind, I don't know what's left to do" Roberto said.
"Well then I suggest you take a deep breath and calm down because this wouldn't solve anything. This won't bring her back. She didn't run off with her lover, she went to look for her friend so like it or not she's coming back and I expect you to act like a man about this. Stop being a pussy about this please.
"Anyways I was wondering if you would accompany me to have some fun" Antonio said.
"You must be out of your motherfucking mind, you stupid son of a bitch. My bride is missing and you want me to galavant around town looking for another girl. Do you have any idea what you asking? Do you have any idea what you're saying?" Roberto asked
"Bitch please. Since when did you start caring about girls? Since when did you start caring about this Ariana to begin with? Weren't you the one who said, you were using her for show?"
"Huh.... Answer me.... Weren't you the one who said she didn't mean anything to you? All of a sudden you're moping like a wet puppy because she's not here? Please be a man. Don't act like you didn't suck your moms titties while growing up" Antonio said.
"I ought to kill you right now. I ought to beat some fucking sense into your head right now Antonio. Do you have any idea how I feel? Do you have any idea what it feels like to be rejected? Roberto asked.
"Nigga shut the fuck up. You sound like a bitch who just got her heart broken. Rejected?!! nigga all she did was to go find her friend... She didn't tell you she was running off to the ends of the earth. She didn't tell you she was going six feet under. what the fuck is wrong with you? Be a man for Christ's sake. Look I know I'm supposed to be your best man and shit like that but I need you to man the fuck up"
"I'm sick and tired of your crazy ass trying to do shit that doesn't even make sense. I can support you in whatever it is you're doing but this is some fucking shit i can't stand right now. Jesus Christ.... I think I'm gonna head out for a drink. You coming? Antonio asked
"Shit I guess I don't have a choice. Do I Motherfucker?.... I'm right behind you. Roberto said. Antonio and Roberto went out to have a few drinks at least Roberto didn't have to think about Ariana missing.
