After leaving Capital University, Xia Weiwei did not immediately return home.
She stopped at a stationery shop and purchased several archival folders, protective sleeves, and a portable scanner.
Professor Zhao's warning remained in her mind.
Wen Qiqi's original designs could not be carried around carelessly. If something happened to them, Weiwei would lose more than valuable artwork. She would lose one of the few remaining connections to her mother.
Once the designs were properly scanned and documented, she could preserve the originals inside a secure location and only use copies for research.
As Weiwei left the shop, her phone rang.
It was Mo Shian.
She answered through the car's hands-free system.
"Hello, Shian."
"How was your first day?"
"It went well."
"Did anyone trouble you?"
Weiwei laughed.
"Is that your first concern?"
"Yes."
"No one troubled me."
"What about Xia Xinya?"
"She tried to behave like a loving sister, but nothing happened."
